We came to Southport for a winter weekend away lol and found this lovely place and were able to get a table. We hear a good idea to book ahead. We had six lovely dishes both veggie and meat and great service. Nice, clean, friendly, authentic styling restaurant and all hand cooked very nicely! Thanks for a lovely meal.
We have eaten here twice this year, the first time based on a recommendation and we enjoyed it so much we had to return.
It's a family restaurant and full of charm, from the cosy dining room to the lounge area at the back.
We have sampled every dish of the small plates and a couple of the main meals and desserts. Everything is cooked and flavoured beautifully and you will leave thinking about what to try on your next visit, as we did.
I had the tasting platter, it was amazing ????
We came in Saturday evening at 6pm to a quiet little space, it was bustling by 7pm. Booking recommend. Best food we've had on our weekend in Southport ????
Lovely family run small bistro (booking recommended). The food was delicious and they accommodated my gluten free diet without any fuss.
I had the taster menu but will be returning to try other tempting delights from the menu.
Been several times and really love this little place.
Food and service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great.
The owner comes to your table for a chat when she can and it really makes the whole experience feel more homely. Can't wait to come again.
Everything about our experience here was epic. The food is UNREAL and we ordered completely vegan starters, mains and desserts. (We aren't all vegan but everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food - so many flavours!!)
Janine, the owner, is a legend and had us in stitches. The place is decorated beautifully.
10/10 would recommend! Also dont look past the ice-cream on the dessert menu - the taste is incredible!
This was our first time to the fig, but will not be our last. Had a lovely meal and lovely wine. Host and staff really friendly and welcoming. The owner came out and spoke to us, had a laugh and made our night. So well worth a visit. We will be back. Xxxxx
If you want the best in middle Eastern cuisine and great service you need to go to the fig. The food is genuinely the best you will have and freshly made. They have some great wines as well. If you're vegetarian or gluten free you have plenty of options. The Egyptian coffee is excellent as well. I had the large mixed kebab and I didn't regret it! It's a very relaxed atmosphere and you aren't rushed out like most restaurants do.
