Decent smoked meats. The ribs were dry and somewhat tough. The pulled pork and andouille burnt ends were delicious! The potato salad was good. The Mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming. It seemed more like Kraft Mac and cheese than what I would expect from a barbecue restaurant. I would say it's worth a try, but know your expectations going in. The barn had a nice country ambiance, and they allow you to BYOB.
Had a great night at the Farm. Very unique experience. Love being able to eat on the patio, enjoy the live music and BYOB. Food by Chef Sean was delicious. You pick your meat and all the sides come with it. Best potato salad I've ever had. Definitely a hidden gem in Bloomingdale. Thanks for a great evening!
Took the Madre out, my daughter, and my son out to dinner. The food was so flavorful, my Mom and I had the smoked tips, my daughter and son had the pulled pork, it came with sides that had all unique flavors. My daughter never eats potato salad and she ate every bit. I loved the cucumber salad and the coleslaw. I'm not a huge meat eater but I was so hungry I almost ate all of mine. We did had some leftovers from each and thank goodness because I will eat it tomorrow too. Chef Shawn made an amazing dinner service at The Farm. The environment was A mix of old antiques and country chic. I loved the lighted path areas I wish I would have had more time to look at all the neat antiques. A place I will definitely be back to. Saw a few friends from high school and it was so nice to see them and their smiles that didn't change.
Stunning venue. Felt like being in a dream and you can't beat Chef Sean's BBQ. I will definitely be recommending this venue to anyone looking for an amazing barn in Michigan.
Chef Sean Hale is fantastic!! Always delicious BBQ, different fresh meats daily. Fun, beautiful, outside barn, great live bands on Friday and Saturdays. Bring your kids, dogs and byob. Great hangout, fun atmosphere and I love it. Love ChefSean, and love his armadillo eggs!!!
White tablecloth, with a casual feel, in a barn or on the deck, on an apple farm, with live music Friday and Saturday. Pick your meat and get all five sides. Mini cornbread, crackaroni and cheese, Asian cucumber salad, potato salad and apple pie baked beans (huge surprise that was a real treat). The sauce is amazing (no mustard, for the supertasters out there!). This is _really gourmet_ barbeque. Chicken, ribs, Mississippi pot roast, andouille and meat candy. There were also ribeye and NY strip choices. There's pop and water, so bring your own adult beverage. We saw many bring a cooler.
The owner has a top-notch music lineup for the whole year. Look for Chef Sean Hale on Facebook.
You can get tasty bbq with 5 sides! My favorite was pork belly and tomato + cucumber salad. The seating area is cute and unique. They have fun game to play. You can walk around in the farm. You can enjoy the whole night there!
It was the last day of their dining season and not sure if that made a difference in the food quality but we were so disappointed after hearing rave reviews from friends. My husband and I both ordered the prime rib with several sides. All the food was cold and the baked potatoes hard from undercooking. The baked beans were tasty and the Mac and Cheese was OK. The prime rib was over cooked and dry. We talked with others at our table and were told the BBQ ribs and brisket are outstanding so if we visit the Farm next season will definitely try one of those.
