My recent visit to The Executive Diner in Alexandria, VA, for breakfast was quite a pleasant experience. The diner boasts ample parking and a variety of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, which is great for any weather or occasion. They are also kid-friendly, making it a stress-free choice for families.
We tried the sausage and biscuits, which were served in a generous portion size, ideal for sharing. The maple sausage, eggs, and French toast combo was tasty, although the eggs were a bit runny and the French toast was slightly over-fried around the edges. However, the softer parts of the French toast were delicious, especially with the berries, even if a tad too sweet.
A highlight was the freshly pressed orange juice, which I recommend enjoying over a separate glass of ice for the best experience. Despite the small critiques, the overall meal was delightful, and I'm eager to return to The Executive Diner to satisfy my morning cravings.
Great service, great food, great prices for Alexandria. Kinda like a high end diner. Very cool. Order the artichoke dip and it was AMAZING, also a nice warm spinach and potato salad. Place was spot on.
First time visiting for me and my family. We all got omelets, my daughter the seafood one. She enjoyed it for the most part, said it would've been better with cheese and with crab meat instead of salmon. My son had pancakes with his, they were TERRIBLE! As a big breakfast family that was disappointing! The potatoes that come with the omelets were great though and the French toast was amazing! Overall we enjoyed...
It s my second visit. We had fish and chips, crab cake sandwich, tenders and fries. All entrees are tasty and generous. But artichoke dip is amazing. Tenders are big enough to share 2 kids. And finally someone knows how to make delicious fish and chips and tartar sauce(i tried many places in dmv area). Service is amazing. I think our server was Milena? She provided us perfect service. Parking is easy too.
So me and my fiancé came to executive diner after church, and it was fantastic!
My fiancé had The country fried steak, and I had to steak and eggs and the steak was so tender and juicy and the country fried steak was so tender and delicious and everything is seasoned well! Hats off to the chef, and then our waiter…. Christian was amazing! He was very courteous, very professional. Literally,we didn’t have to ask him anything he was already there, bringing us the A1 steak sauce ( all the condiments ) and whatever we needed.
He’s Very attentive! This place is very cool and you should definitely bring the family for an awesome breakfast. We have to try lunch next.!
Get the shrimp/fish tacos! Don't think about it. Just get them. Growing up along the Mexican border, I am a certified expert on all things tacos. The best fish tacos I ever had were at a food truck in San Diego and so I judge all fish tacos based on that experience. These tacos at executive diner actually come freaking close! The fish and shrimp were so tender and juicy. Although I prefer cabbage, the lettuce was very crunchy. The Greek twist of this taco included feta instead of typical Mexican queso fresco but man was it delicious!
We absolutely love the food here. You can really taste the quality of fresh ingredients. We love their breakfasts, Reuben sandwiches, fish and chips, and now their shrimp/fish tacos.
Additional Review: I forgot to mention that Executive Diner is a great place for breakfast overall. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Their Lattes are pretty delicious too! My favorites are the chicken fried steak and eggs.
I rarely give such high ratings, but this place truly deserves it! Every visit guarantees fantastic food and speedy service. It has become a staple for us, and even though we've moved farther away, we make a point to return and savor the experience. I highly recommend it!
Great price for good food and service. Blackened chicken Cajun pasta on special which came with salad. It had a good flavor and portions.
