I was pleasantly shocked by my experience. The host has the best welcoming personality. The waitresses were friendly and attentive and made you feel special. The food was good, and I was able to fill up my two boys and still have leftovers. Which is rare. Everything was better than going to a well-known chain restaurant.
Outstanding diner! The food was fantastic (excellent portions), atmosphere was great, server was able to handle 6 big dudes from the Midwest! Highly recommend!!!
This is my favorite place for breakfast. The atmosphere feels so welcoming. I can't compliment the staff enough... they're quick to refill coffee and check regularly if anything is needed.The food is consistently delicious with large portions. I like introducing newcomers to the restaurant and they all remark on the quality of the food and the service they received. This is a place that I also go to alone when I just want to read, eat a comforting breakfast, and soak up the nurturing atmosphere. And, oh yeah.... the cinnamon rolls!!!! Heaven! Been going here since they were located further up Country Club near Prince many years ago and have never been disappointed.

Maybe we just hit this establishment on an off day because I am shocked at the high review ratings based on our experience.
For us, the only thing good about The Egg Connection was the service. The staff was friendly and responsive and the food came out fast. The restaurant itself was dimly lit and a bit dreary. The food and coffee, however, were terrible. The coffee was very weak and had no taste. The home fries seemed to have been fried in bad oil and so was the chorizo scramble and Athens omelette. We were very disappointed and to compound that disappointment, the prices were high and not that far off from First Watch. We will stick with First Watch.
Ive been here several times now. They do some dishes good, mediocre, and bad. I could have convinced myself that this was a great breakfast place if it wasnt for the bad ones. My last experience left me feeling blue having spent the money i did on what was supposed to be a whiteboard special. Its been fun, but i will be moving on from The Egg Connection.
Something tells me this place is better than I experienced. I think it was probably my menu selection (chicken enchilada omelette, not great). The waitress recommended the cornbread and she was right, THAT was excellent, and she provided exceptional service. She was attentive, personable, and fun to chat with. It’s no surprise this place was crowded with obvious regulars, so I’m confident the food is better than what I ordered. My only real gripe is that there was no Diet Coke fountain drinks. It’s served in a can. What is that?
Out of town and my sister suggested we eat breakfast here to meet her friend with 3 kids driving through. Our server was amazing and patient and the food was delicious with heaping portions. As a server, I get how annoying dealing with kids for a long period of time is at work. But our server (and the whole staff) was so patient and friendly, and I cant rave enough about the service. Totally pleased with this place.
