It was so nice we went 3 times. Delicious food and good beer. My husband loved the Basic Beer Pilsner and I loved the Burger with Pimento cheese and fried pickles! The next time we went for lunch and I loved the loaded tots! The third time we stopped in to listen to the live music and ended up having drinks and dancing the night away.
Great service! The atmosphere was nice.
The crab dip was good and plentiful but the pita chips were not enough considering the amount of dip.
The food presentation was great. My husband had the special chicken parm. He said it needed more sauce and seasoning. The chicken club and fries were good.
The waiter was attentive. Overall good experience.
We had dinner last night (Thursday) for the rib and shrimp special and were very pleased.
The generous serving of ribs were moist and tender, shrimp (frozen) were good as were the fries and coleslaw. Service was wonderful and the staff was cheerful and attentive. Overall a very good dining experience and I highly recommend the Thursday special. Next we are going to try the Bogo burger special on Tuesdays. For those of you who live in the valley it is well worth the drive.
Looking forward to another rib and shrimp Thursday!
We went to The Edge last with some possibly misplaced high expectations of a great meal. Everyone was starving after a day of travel and little to eat. This fact should have made the food taste like the best thing we had ever eaten.... Well, it was not. The food that we received was more like cafeteria food vs resort restaurant food that is $$. The menu is also odd as it seems as though it was written for vegans and old people. The service was good. The only thing I will say about that is there are quite a few foreign workers who do not understand English very well. We had planned at dinner to ask our server a few things about the area. She was very nice, and I am glad she was here to find employment. However, placing our order was difficult enough so there was no chance we could ask any questions.
The view was the best part, but the food was mostly very good too. We thought that the toasted bread that came with the goat cheese appetizer was a bit scant and hard, and they had the same hard toasted bread with the spinach crab dip, which was kind of a bummer. Also, the spinach crab dip had an off color coating on top like it was a little older than it should be. It wasn't all that tasty either. The New York strip steaks were wonderful, as was the salmon and the strawberry salad. Our server was delightful. All in all it was a very nice place.
Really great place every time we have gone! Great views and great service. Kudos to Agnus our server. Super nice!! They have a great food selection. Tonight my husband and I got the New York strip steak with roasted potatoes and fresh green beans. The steaks were super tender and came with a dollop of garlic parsley butter on top. The green beans were nice and hot. Everything was delicious! They had a guitarist playing/singing while we ate. The place is comfortable and very enjoyable! Highly recommend.
1... I didn't know whether I was suppose to eat the fries or go spear fishing with them. They were so crispy I chipped 3 teeth, made my gums bleed and lost a pinky toe when one fell from my plate and penetrated my boot and sliced it off.
2... I asked for the wings to be crispy. Maybe they confused the fries with the wings but I wasn't sure if I was eating wings or raw oysters. I'll have to put them back in the air fryer for an additional 45 minutes.
Of course, what do they care, they are gonna get business regardless of what people think because they are one of a few places to eat when you are in the middle of nowhere, on a mountain.
I went in with really low expectations, considering it's a captive-customer resort restaurant, but they managed to surprised me (with how bad it was, I mean). The salmon itself actually tasted good, but why even have other things on the plate that look like that...? Like, not even grocery store hot bar levels of presentation? Veggie burger had to be sent back because 1. there was a random big chunk of ham in the french fries lol and 2. they put it on a gluten free bun, which was almost inedible. The bun (among other things) was due to a communication issue with the ESL waitress, who was very very nice, apologetic, and did her duties well except for the language barrier. But when communication is almost the whole point of your job...
Considering you don't have many options, I'd still choose to go here.
