Passing through and decided to stop for lunch.
Upon entering we were told to "sit anywhere over there" as the waitress pointed to the adjacent room.
We were greeted by a very nice young lady that gave us our drinks.
Michelle came and took our orders .. husband ordered the fish sandwich with coleslaw and I ordered a (turkey) Reuben sandwich and potatoe salad.
The fish was slightly over done and sugar in the coleslaw. My sandwich was excellent but the potatoe salad had no flavor!
The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly .. at least the two we spoke with!
I had been here before many years ago but didn’t remember it until I was sat in the same booth and I swear had the same server! We both had the chicken fried steak breakfast. She had no eggs, deep fried home fries and a pancake. I had eggs over medium, hash browns and toast. The chicken fried steak was so yummy and my eggs were done to perfection. Both my hash browns and her deep fried home fries were very good and the pancake may have been the best I’ve ever tired. We don’t get up to Pine often but we will be back.
Passing through with a group of motorcycle riders and stopped in for breakfast. As crowded as it was, the staff was smiling and really did a nice job taking care of us. Food was good, I would say average for this type of diner. Hearty and easy to eat. Certainly recommend!
First time at this breakfast spot, one of the few places open for breakfast early in Pine! We shared The Big Bird Breakfast with full Biscuit and gravy with bacon, hash browns and eggs over medium! So much food and glad we shared. The b&g were on point the biscuits were fluffy and cooked to perfection they are second best to mine! Go early to avoid a long wait, but definitely worth the wait. Food comes out hot and quick!
Friendly staff and great food right here in Pine / Strawberry. We eat here often and the food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The biscuits and gravy is excellent! Hopefully Early Bird will be in business for many years, it’s a local gem.
Delicious food and huge portions. I had the special peach pancakes with homemade peach syrup and could only eat 1/4 of it. Portions were large all around the table.
The fam had breakfast here today! Large portions that me and my 3 kids could not finish. Fresh fruit on each plate????. All of the staff were friendly and busy keeping the morning crowd happy. The pancakes were wonderful, and the whipped butter was fabulous. The biscuits were huge and the bacon nice and crunchy!
We ate here twice while on vacation. My family really liked the food, particularly the pancakes. I thought the breakfast burrito was awesome. Gravy was blah for biscuits and gravy but not bad. Overall a good place for breakfast. My only drawback is the service, folks are nice but you can tell they have had enough of us out of towner's. We were sat next to the kitchen both times and it was annoying to listen to the dishes crash constantly and hear the people jibber jabbering but it was pretty busy.
