Best KPortal Reviews

What a delightful experience at The Eagle Food and Beer Hall! My husband Wes and I were in town for a real estate conference, and our Uber driver recommended this gem. We're so glad we listened!
The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes including the 1/4 white meat fried chicken (so good!!!), the fried chicken club sandwich, cheese grits with pickled peppers, horseradish mashed potatoes with gravy, and biscuits with honey butter and blackberry jelly. As someone who grew up in the South, I thought I knew grits, but these with pickled peppers were a revelation! I'll definitely be trying to recreate them at home. Who would have thought of adding peppers? So good! Actually, everything was fantastic!!
To top it all off, we received the BEST service from Patrick. We dined at the bar and enjoyed some local beers. Patrick was incredibly helpful and even gave us some fantastic local recommendations.
Overall, a stellar dining experience.
Highly recommended!
I love the food at The Eagle. We have ate here several times and they have never failed us. Robbie was our server and she did a great job accommodating our experience with kindness. The food was delicious! My wife, goddaughter, and myself had fried chicken with macaroni and cheese, sweet potato crock, spoonbread, and collards. It was all good! My daughter loved the Carolina braised pork sandwich. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. I love the vintage ambiance in the restaurant. This is important to the overall experience. We will definitely be back! This place is consistently good.
Great chicken. Good pricing.
Fried chicken good. Perfectly cooked, tasty, tender, crispy. The honey and Tobasco sauce is simple and good. Nothing out of this world, but it doesn’t need to be since the chicken is great on its own. But one of the drumsticks was absolutely tiny.
Fries and aioli are exactly how you’d expect. Good.
Mac and cheese is good.
Coleslaw, I didn’t really enjoy. And a little too sour.
Chicken sandwich was a 5/10. Chicken was only verrrry slightly warm. Felt and tasted as if left out for some time. Other ingredients were great though, especially the toast. I plan on air frying the other half as that would make it good.
Service was good and food came out surprisingly fast. Explains the chicken sandwich.
Pricing is not bad at all.
Overall: 6.99/10
Yummy, yummy, yummy! We got the 1/4 fried chicken, grilled chicken sandwhich, fries, hush puppies, mac and cheese and the cornbread. All of it was so scrumputious! The dipping sauce for the hush puppies was to die for! The service was friendly and attentive and the pricing was more than reasonable!
Update March 4th.
Went back try and see if the experience would be better.
Service was still subpar. Shout out to the host working this Monday night, he was probably holding that place together that night. He's co-worker cleaning the tables was not the most helpful and pretty sure was over his job. Our server did decent.
Sat at the bar for a bit to kill time while we wait for our table, drinks were decent but a bit over priced, 2 drinks were about 30 dollars.
The food gets a bit of a downgrade. Last time the food was cold, this time it came out very greasy and not good at all. I really want to like this place but things are just so inconsistent.

I was recommended to try this place out for some good chicken.
Atmosphere is pretty decent. Another industrial decor restaurant. there is outside seating but staffing that night may have been an issue so it was closed.
Service was not the best. Our server was actually super nice, I really think they were understaffed because he was always busy. So we had to wait for refills and our food came out cold.
Even though the food was cold it was really good. I bet it would be better if it wasn't. I mean it was cold, not warm, so pretty sure it died at the pass. Avoid the biscuits they were not good, they were rock hard.
I highly recommend trying just the chicken, it's well seasoned and not dry.
Overall I'd definitely come back because I'd like to update my rating. Hopefully they get the staffing situation sorted so the food doesn't come out cold.
Great food. The fried chicken is probably some of the best I've ever had.. they have a great selection of beer and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Brianna was our server and she did amazing. The chicken at this place was so good we reordered 4 times for our table and left extremely fat and happy. If I were vegan I’d realize the error of my ways just to eat this chicken. Also, their bourbon punch drink was fantastic thus the reason for this lengthy review. Viva la fried chicken
It's a nice cozy restaurant. I suggest making reservations for dinner because the wait times could be long. The service is really good. Our server (Patrick) was very informative about the menu being this was our first time. He even went as far to ask about any food allergies. ???????? Now to the food.... the chicken was really good!!! The sides were pretty good too. The shrimp and grits were a little bit spicy but still good. If you're in the area and you want some good food you gotta check this place out.
