Went in here on an early Saturday evening and it was really quiet. However, the food was excellent. Chips were nicely sized, almost like chip shop sized, but crispier like fries. The fish burger was excellent, with not too much sauce. Highly recommend trying this for a takeaway.
I tried food from here for the first time and it most definitely won’t be my last! Wow.. the food was fresh and very tasty, I had the cheeseburger. Please try the red chilli sauce too, life changing lol! Great customer service too, would recommend :)
Disappointing fish and chips, especially given how good reviews for the other menu items are. Friendly chap and a clean shop so credit for that - food really let it down.
Similar experience to other reviewers: pub-style frozen chips, over-cooked fish (strong oil smell - may have needed changing), no mushy peas or proper barms. The oddest thing, when we opened the boxes there was shredded lettuce underneath the fish!
Had the best burger from Dutch Fishermen Stockport, everyone needs to try their amazing Cod Burger! Perfectly cooked and very fresh! The seasoning was just right, making it super tasty. And the chips with the sweet chilli sauce was a perfect match! Big portions, fair prices and lovely staff too– it's a win-win. Five stars, no doubt!! ????????????
I recently tried The Dutch Fishmen for the first time - everything from the people to the food was 10/10! I had the chicken burger meal, not only tasty but filling and freshly made. Will definitely be trying here again and would recommend to anybody in the area :)
I thought I’d give it a try as the local chippy is a bit hit and miss. Had no expectations as never heard of them. Wow was I pleasantly surprised. How they cook that fish I’ll never know, it tasted fresh, there was zero Grease and serviced with salad? Which I was a bit, that’s strange but it was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. “Chips were lovely too!” Highly recommend, give it a try as you don’t know what you’re missing. Staff are lovely and helpful too. Thank you for a fantastic meal.
I want to dutchman fish today. I ordered a fish and chips meal. You get a can of drink with the meal for £7.50. I asked for mushy peas. They never had any. Do the guy want in the kitchen got some peas probably from a tin
Warmed them up in a microwave in front of eyes. It was just enough for 4 or 5 chips. Same with the curry sauce which he got out of fridge to warm it up in a microwave. He then got a fish and cut half of it off and put half of it back in the fridge.I asked him why he did that. He just couldn't answer me. The worse was when he got some frozen chips and put them in fryer.. i was gobsmacked. I asked what kind of chippey is this. The only answer he give me was that this is what they do in weatherspoons. I told him that what takeaways do. You supposed to be a chippy!!! EVERY THING Supposed to be fresh. I have NEVER been to a chippy were there is no Gravy sauce. No curry sauce except for the one that has been stored in fridge for days. NO peas. Where he had to go in the back to warm some peas from a can of peas. There was hardly anyone in the shop. NO BLOODY WONDER.
Perfect food and excellent customer service. Been here several times and I never had a problem with anything. Highly recommend to anyone local in the area
