UPDATE:
We were back for another visit in April 2024 and The Downtown Deli did not disappoint. We even got an updated picture.
I first visited The Downtown Deli back in 2019. My stepson had some trash to throw out and he stepped behind the counter to throw it in a trash can. The owner immediately tied an apron on him and put him to work. At first, my stepson looked terrified, but soon began to relax and have fun. The owner is very friendly, and the gyros are the best I've ever had! I stop in for a gyro whenever we're in town. I highly recommend this place!
Amazing service and amazing atmosphere! Owner was so friendly and helped us out figuring out what we wanted. He gave us a delicious pita appetizer with Mediterranean spices. We had a traditional gyro with garlic sauce and the peach hot sauce which was so delicious. Definitely recommend this place for sure for food and service.
Nice portion sized Gyros. Flavor is great. I prefer feta on mine, but overall a great deal for the price. Owner seems passionate. Would for sure try again!
Place has a nice feel to it, I was walking around old town and everything being too over priced I almost gave up but then I saw the deli and on the menu was a hotdog that wasn’t over 10 dollars so I bought it, he gave me a sample of his gyro and some real good hot sauce the guy said he made. When I get my money back up I’m definitely gonna try to become a regular, never ate gyros before but I bet this place makes some good ones! Wanted to give a good review because the guy deserves it.
This place was amazing, right when we walked we were greeted very friendly and the food was great. Definitely recommend the hot sauce!

The guy was hilarious, cracking jokes the whole time. Oh and the food was delicious, first time trying gyros and was a hella of a time. Would for sure come back, mainly for the owner/guy cooking and serving the food.
Love this place!! Service is amazing, really nice staff and great food. Their gyros are the best I've ever had. They always make new unique homemade hot sauces that will be sure to burn your tongue.
