Update: Shortly after I left this honest yet negative review Nea called me to say her boss had seen the review and reached out to her. She was very loud on the phone & so I hung up on her. I was not in the mood to get yelled at for their mistake. She tried to call back but I ignored& blocked the number. I wish the owner would've reached out to me directly instead of telling her to call me.
I only gave one star because they are extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment with nae, that I had scheduled earlier in the day. She told me she had an opening at 4:30 that day so we scheduled it for then. I got here at 4:30 & honestly the only reason I came this far is because of the good reviews but when I got here at 4:30 she still had someone in her chair. I greeted her & sat down to wait. After ten minutes at 4:40 I asked her how much longer it would be and she said that her client before was late and she needed 15 more minutes. So I waited but at 5:05 I decided to walk out. She never said sorry, or even seemed to care that she was wasting so much of my time. She didn't even offer to reschedule or anything like that. I went to my car to look for other people in the area that could do it this late on a Sunday & sadly found no one. However at 5:30 she is still not done with the persons hair. So total she would've had me wait almost an hour, I'm not sure if there is an appointment policy or not but I'm sure I could not be an hour late to my appointment and not lost it. This place is so unprofessional. Don't waste your money or time. Even the parking lot is terribly full of pot holes.
I did a lot of research to find the right spot that would take me in. The shop was super friendly and welcoming. Lisa aka Bunz hooked me up with some dope braids. She was very upfront and honest with her abilities to handle staright hair with her clipper skills. So, I am hoping to coordinate with the barber in the shop next time I get my braids done there. Overall, I had a great experience. I am getting plenty of complements on my braids and I am loving it! Hit them up at The Doppest Dreader, they will hook you up with braids, fades, and dreads!
I love Monique ! She's super sweet, down to earth,and knowledgeable. My hair was really damaged and she gave me so much knowledge on how to maintain my hair in between retwist and get it back to a healthy state. She also is a great stylist and slayed my hair. I would suggest booking her if you are looking for a stylist that cares about you as a client and will make you feel super confident when you leave her chair! Go to her she's amazing!
Nae does a great job on my step son’s hair (he’s only 5) but once we started coming to her we haven’t been to anyone else since! She’s always professional and quick. Would recommend her to anyone any day ????????
Nae is a great stylist I’ve been going to her for 2 years . Everytime i go to her i get compliments great stylist and great person over all .

I’ve had my locs for 13 years. I’ve had numerous stylist retwist my hair and Carlisha is the best. Best shop in the city for locs, her team is solid.
I have been going to Carlisha for 4 years, she was the one to start my locs and I have been going ever since. I could really go on and on about how amazing she is and her service is, you can get a wash, retwist, and a great laugh all on one place ❤️❤️
