Best KPortal Reviews

Simple and so tasty. Reasonable prices and food came out quick.
Excellent burger and fries at high quality.
Amd love the self-serve condiments, etc.
You know you’re at a good joint when the owner is joyfully roaming around enjoying the customers, both local and those on vacation. The steak sandwich and bottomless is phenomenal! Tourist locations are supposed to all be stuffy right? Wrong
I'm here at the dog house now, and I just had a salmon burger which is excellent! That's the second time I've had one. They also have all you can eat fries with the skins on which are absolutely great! A little hole-in-the-wall that one of my best eating places in Bodega Bay and won't cost an arm and a leg either!
The last time I had The Dog House was in 2019 as I make it a point to drop by whenever I’m in Bodega Bay. I start with a coffee shake from Captain Daveys next door then come over for a hot link and a dog with fries. At the time, fries were all you can eat, I’m not sure if that’s the same as of writing this in October 2021. Fries are fresh whole potato’s that are chopped and fried all in one space.
The food is great, bathrooms are typically clean and a big space. The only slight tick to the rating is just the parking lot, once packed, is hard to find parking as there’s other places including a post office in the plaza. Also depending on the day (mostly weekends), it can get pretty busy and packed. However, that’s a good thing for the business that I love.
Check them out!
After driving by this place many times, Boyfriend and I finally tried it last weekend, and are thinking of going back this weekend too. I saw another review that said this is a great little local spot, not a tourist spot, and I completely agree. I mean, who comes to Bodega Bay for burgers, hot dogs, and fries instead of clam chowder? The spot is tucked away near Fishetarian, a realtor's office, and right next door to a small espresso/ice cream place. There are a few tables outside, a few small tables inside, and a small counter you can eat at that faces the window. They have lots of old-timey hot dog themed signs on the walls.
Everything on the menu comes with UNLIMITED hand cut fries, which was the first reason I wanted to come here. Boyfriend and I both ordered the half-pound burger and I was going to order a side of onion rings, but the nice girl at the counter suggested swapping one of our sides for onion rings, since the fries are unlimited anyway. The burgers come on hot dog buns, so they shape the hamburger patties to match. Boyfriend and I agree that it is very clever and a good way to stand out. When our orders were ready, we proceeded to the condiments counter. The burgers (and presumably the hot dogs too) come with just meat in a bun, and you add the toppings yourself. They have lots of sauces: ketchup, mustard, deli mustard, thousand island, ranch, and probably a few others I've forgotten. They also have tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, pickles. I love the idea of adding the toppings yourself so you can get exactly what you want.
The burgers were delicious and perfectly cooked. A little bit pink in the middle and a little bit drippy when you bite into it. The onion rings probably came from a frozen bag but those were really good too. Crispy and with a smooth outside. The fries were yummy and thick, a little bit squishy like most hand cut fries are. We rationed the onion rings but went hard on the fries, finishing off a second basket before we left. Boyfriend was impressed that, when we asked for foil to cover our leftovers, they gave us heavy duty foil. Our meal came out to about $30. We will definitely be going here on a regular basis.
Our family always stops by here when we come to Bodega bay. This last time (March 2024) was my first time trying a vegetarian sausage. It was okay.
Great burgers and fries.
This spot has great burgers and all you can eat fries. It's owned and operated by locals, and often times frequented by locals as well.
You order the burger and it's cooked fresh, and you put on the fixings. The staff is friendly.
The price is slightly high, but in the context of the surrounding area it's actually pretty good, especially considering you get all you can eat fries. $25 or so for a fill meal for two is a good deal out there.
It's not particularly healthy food, but it's exactly what you'd expect from a burger joint.
The best burgers and fries for many many miles around. The ultimate American experience on 4th of July.
A true Americana. Generous and very hospitable owners. Unlimited fries. ???? Made Son Happy.
