Very friendly pub with a lovely, warm atmosphere. The landlord not only allowed us to eat our chips from across the road but even offered us cutlery and condiments.
Fantastic olde world pub, brilliant landlady / landlord serving proper homemade tasty and value for money grub. Love this place and will return! Thank you
A warm friendly welcome and dog friendly in the bar. One of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had, with a very generous serving of vegetables.
What a lovely little find! Scott was so welcoming and had a lovely chat about the local area. Thanks for making our first night away so wonderful. The boys (13 years) loved playing pool and darts and Willow the dog throughly enjoyed her treats!
Traditional pub, with lovely owners. Mark and Elaine are lovely pub owners, running a traditional village pub in the heart of Ewyas Harold. Positioned next to The Temple Bar, the two establishments compliment each other perfectly. ||The beer is well kept, and bar snacks are available, with a lovely bar menu just right for a village pub!. There is a great fish and chip shop across the road which is well worth a visit. Bar games are available, including a well appointed pool table, darts and pub games. Quiz nights are regularly held which are advertised. ||The toilets are spotlessly clean, and the wood fire is a welcoming addition on cold nights.||We had the best welcome off Mark and Elaine, who are a credit to the pub and the village. Will definitely come back to this little gem.
Popped in for food and a pint on a Saturday lunchtime with a friend,we received a lovely welcome from the family run staff, had a good chat with a local lad and a nice honest meal priced fairly, thankyou will definitely re visit when in that neck of the woods.
This is a really lovely local pub. Good, home cooked food and friendly staff. We visited a couple of times on our holiday. They have cards, pub games and a pool table. What more could anyone ask for?
Stopped here on a Monday. We were enticed from the main road by a sign advertising another restaurant which, it turned out, is closed on Mondays! Still, as a result we found The Dog Inn. Good, clean pub, great friendly welcome, excellent food at very reasonable prices. I had an enormous steak and kidney pie, my wife had Lamb Balti, we were both impressed by the quality of the cooking. We would really recommend this pub for food and welcome. Overall cost with one dessert and drinks £33.15!! Bargain.
