My initial visit was with Mallory Woods who attended to my skin care concerns. She was very clear regarding procedures and options that I could follow to address my situation. She and her team were very professional, pleasant and supportive. I am grateful for her bedside manner and it’s a pleasure being her patient.
I decided to visit the dermatologist because of some heavy dandruff I had been experiencing for a little longer than usual and I am so happy I did. A prescription shampoo and drops was all I needed. I am so glad that they were able to provide me with a remedy on my first visit. Also I can visit and consult with my daughter. That is always a plus for us. Be back soon. ????
They sent me a bill for $300 (multiple bills) AFTER my insurance paid the bill. They continued to double bill me in hopes that I would just pay for it (even though my insurance fund covered it months ago.) When I called to question them I was on hold for over an hour! The billing department (Buka) itself is horrible and looks to double bill so be careful.
However..
The NP who saw me was good—she diagnosed me with fungal acne after looking (only) at my face and listening to my concerns for 5min. I wish she did a biopsy or something to confirm —but either way Im content with my 5minute appointment because at least she diagnosed me correctly.
Hakim (PA) is awesome! He is friendly, knowledgeable and caring!
Calmed my nerves and got me through a squamous cell cancer diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend him. I referred my wife who's seen him for a few issues and she heartily agrees with this review!
Fantastic Staff, comfortable atmosphere, and quality service. Dr. Abdelhakim and his assistant just raises the bar on patient care. They were very informative and comforting, and very thorough. I feel at ease in their care. You cannot go wrong with choosing Dermatology Specialists of Harlem. I highly recommend.
All the specialists I have seen at this location was great but my specialist name is Aizel, he got straight to the issue the treatment he gave and told me to keep up with worked for my hair growth, the medication he gave for my cousin skin not only slowed down her irradiation on her skin but also help with her asthma, this is a place you would have to come in for the experience to understand what I experienced. I recommend to anyone, thanks
Came in for my second treatment in my chemical peel process. The staff was very accommodating and the provider was thorough as usual. I would like to give a special shout out to f o u l e m a t an assistant to the provider for her diligence , efficiency , and expertise.
