I love the atmosphere of the Damn Salon! Sophia was punctual, professional, ans accommodating. She listened to my requests and patiently assisted me with choosing the colors for my city twists. She handles my hair with care and ensures that the style compliments and contours my face. Her work is always exceptional and her diligence is above the rest. I got my City Twists and they are absolutely STUNNING. I’ve been getting compliments every where I turn. Feeling like a Superstar stepping into 2020. The service was phenomenal. The stylists were so professional. Sophia took her time with me and understanding exactly what I wanted. The RunwayCurls facility was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. I can’t wait to get Damned again!
My visit to the salon was pleasant. My issue is that just a few days after my appointment the city twist started to fall out from the sides, top and back of my head. The twist were also very frizzy and caused my scalp and face to itch. I went back to the salon to have the ones that had fallen out replaced. The young lady that assisted me thought my twist had be in for at least a month. When I told her less than a week she got quiet. A few days later more twist are falling out. I called to the salon and asked for the manager, she was not available. I went on to explain my issue to the person that answered the phone. I called every day until I got a response from the manager Brittany. I explained my issue to her and only requested that half of my money be refunded as they had used their product and time. She could only offer excuse after excuse as to why the twist that the damn salon had installed were falling out. Brittany, “Oh, your hair was too short in the back, oh, your hair was to fine.” If these were issues this should have been discussed with me prior to installing the twist, but this was not done. Brittany knew my hair was a mess before I even paid for my services. I say this because I got the city twist which are listed at $275.00 and Brittany instructed the cashier to only charge me $250.00. Brittany also offered to do another install of city twist. Why would I want to go through this again? No, not ever. This salon is only interested in their bottom line. I hope they realize that the quality of their product and their customer service will sooner or later have an effect on their bottom line.
I had an excellent experience today at The Damn Salon. Sophia provided a rewarding service. She's very knowledgable and was fast at getting my hair done. This is not the first time I have had a great experience. I am always recommending this salon to all of my family and friends.
11/2019 - From my initial call for my appointment up until the end my experience was phenomenal. I traveled from Nashville to Atlanta and it was worth the drive. Shara was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She showed me how to put it up and do different styles. Again, everything was great. I have no complaints. Thank you for making sure I got Damned!!!
UPDATE: 7/14/20 - I had my fourth visit with this salon and after this visit I had to do another review. I still rate the salon at 5 stars. First, my appt was originally scheduled for Friday. I received a text early in the morning advising an emergency came up and we needed to reschedule. I travel from out of town so I appreciated the early text. It saved me a trip. My appt was rescheduled for a day the salon is closed. The stylist Drystal was on time and did an awesome job on my hair. My hair is shorter on the sides and back (almost like a mohawk) and she gripped the shorter hair without pulling my brains out. My head is not sore at all and my hair looks fabulous!! I love my Curly Ryder twists and it is by far my favorite hairstyle. Thank you ladies. Keep it up!
Went for a consultation with Sophia and met the owner Mushiya also! Wow they both were very welcoming and great customer service! Sophia explains the process of getting Damned and lets you look and examine hair and numerous colors to choose from! I felt very relaxed and comfortable! I am definitely getting DAMNED! :-)
Update I have been Damned! You have to experience it for yourself! People will fall in Love with you after wards! It’s just something about the Runway Curls and the special technique on The braiding that makes male and female attracted to you! They have Also wowed me with their Customer Service! Hurry go get Damned! I Love how I can just get up and go! Don’t have to worry about doing my hair! ????????????????????
I have been a customer for over 10 years and haven’t had a bad experience yet. They never style my hair too tight, meaning my scalp is at ease. I never have breakage after. I’ve had several bad experiences at other salons from breakage, tension issues to just boring looks but NOT here. AND my styles last a really long time (other styles don’t last or look good in my hair for 2-3 weeks but this lasts for months!) Sophia did my hair this time around and she was great and professional. I love how she layered my hair and added color that’s visible mainly when my hair is out. It’s great to know that their quality has remained consistent for over a decade!
I've been going to the Damn Salon off and on since 2009. They are my "go to" spot whenever I want my hair styled in those "damn city twists"! As always, they never disappoint. Sophia was timely, kind and had my hair looking amazing once again in the "city twist" style. Keep doing what you're doing...you guys rock!
