My whole family loves The Cut Above! We appreciate the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, including delicious Turkish coffee brewed by owner Veli. Veli cuts my husband’s hair and makes him look so sleek—in under 20 minutes. Stylist Sue is a miracle worker, selecting the right color for the season and providing a trim that frames my face and makes me feel glamorous. Sue was also very solicitous to my mother-in-law and gave her a cut that made her very happy. An extra perk: Leila gives a lovely massage with the shampoo & conditioner—so relaxing! After years of searching for the right salon, I’m so happy we found The Cut Above.
Veli cut my 2 year old grandson's hair and it's the best haircut he's had. This will be our go to place!

Me and my aunt went there. I got my roots done and hair dyed with a hair cut where as my aunt got a balayage and a haircut. Everyone was super amazing so sweet and did such an amazing job. Zari did my hair and Sohaila(I'm sorry if I got the name wrong I think it was this) did my aunt's. My aunt got an AMAZING hair cut it was so beautiful. Zari did an amazing job on my hair. Although she bleached my hair, they still dont feel damaged at all and I got exactly what I wanted. My aunt's hair didn't show colour because they wanted to avoid bleaching, and they were so cooperative about the issue they rescheduled us and did the whole thing again to give us what we wanted without charging more. It was our first experience and we loved it so much. Highly Recommended.
This was my first time going to The Cut Above (on a recommendation from my friend who has fabulous hair), and I will definitely be going back! Brenda did an outstanding job coloring, cutting and styling my hair. She even took extra time to show me ways I can change-up my style by curling my hair. Everyone at The Cut Above was friendly and professional. Their COVID-19 precautions were simple and thorough, with masks, hand sanitizing, a simple questionnaire, and a quick non-invasive temperature check. I’m looking forward to going back again and again! Thank you Brenda, and The Cut Above staff! :)

I actually did a walk-in for a haircut this afternoon because I happen to pass by at Lansdowne Town Center. I am very pleased and happy that I did! they accepted walk-ins and I came in at a perfect timing. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They even offered my husband Turkish coffee while he was waiting for me. Best of all, I learned that all of them are family-operated. I love that!
Overall, five star experience from start to finish! Leyla who shampooed my hair was very friendly, and Veli did an amazing haircut on my thin, but very long, wavy hair. He made sure that I get the haircut that I like and was very thorough from the beginning to the end. I love my long layered haircut and my blow-dry and my husband just said right now while doing this review how beautiful I looked because of my blow-dry and my haircut. I couldn't get any better compliment than that.
I love that this is a family-owned salon since 1988. I can sense that they have a loyal customer base and their fees are just right. I am now a loyal fan! I urge all of you to try The Cut Above salon. 5 Stars!
