Best KPortal Reviews

My husband and I went here hoping to find a new favorite Indian restaurant. And we succeeded! 10/10 experience, the food was delicious. Definitely coming back!!
Delicious!! What a hidden gem in Old Saybrook! The service was fantastic, but the food was even better. I got my dish medium and I'd say the spice was perfect. My kids will love the mild so it's a great spot for the whole family. We look forward to our next visit, thanks again!!
Very bizarre experience!!!
I had dinner with a friend on Friday. I had had lunch there the previous week and enjoyed it, so decided to go again. The waiter recognized me, thanked me for coming back. He was friendly and attentive. My friend and I were having a nice evening catching up and enjoying the food and wine we had ordered. Our waiter even brought over a carrot dish, asking if we would be willing to try it and review it, as they were considering adding it to the menu.
After dinner, my friend wanted something sweet, so we ordered a dessert to share. Our waiter brought it to the table. Just behind him was the owner approaching our table. I smiled and started to tell her that we enjoyed our meal, but she interrupted and told us we needed to leave because her staff gets upset if they have to stay late; it was a little before 9pm. We ate a few bites of our dessert while we waited to pay our bill. After paying, I got up from the table and put on my coat. The owner approached us again telling us we had to leave and her staff is already late going to the train station.
Although we enjoyed the food and our waiter did a good job, I certainly will not be returning.
Maybe in the future, there could be better communication amongst the owner and staff. Rather than being asked if we wanted dessert, we could have been told that the staff needed to leave, so dessert would not be possible. We might have been disappointed, but we would have returned.
OMG worst experience Monday full day Diarrhea mostly old food serving please customers double check before you tasting food. I ordered chicken tikka masala chicken not cook and worst smell and I order chat omg old mash potatoes smell like spoiled never I come back
We did take-out from the Curry Queen for the first time tonight. Both of our dishes were delicious. We will definitely go there again!
Have eaten at Curry Queen three times. Enjoyed the food very much. The waitress was very polite as was the owner. They explained the menu on items unfamiliar to me. Suggested food I may enjoy after asking what foods I like. Enjoyed all the selections I made as did the friends that joined me.
Tried Curry Queen for the first time with mixed reviews. Chicken Korma was very good but the garlic Naan was dry and hard, almost seemed a day or two old. We ordered beer with our meal (no drink menu) and discovered beers were way overpriced at $10 each when we received our bill. Very disappointed.
What a shame...the food was pretty good, atmosphere nice, but the service was abysmal. The waiter forgot the pappadums, my partner's beer, and didn't even apologize when he brought the check and we reminded him (he had been impossible to flag down earlier). We saw another server fumble the plate and dump the entire (hot) contents on a patron's lap. That server didn't seem particularly apologetic, either! This restaurant needs more servers to handle the number of diners, and they need to be trained in the basics--they're very unprofessional and super slow. We won't be back, even though the food is decent. The prices are higher than they should be, too-- and they don't even offer the three relishes that are usually complimentary at every Indian restaurant I've ever been to.
