Best KPortal Reviews

Lovely pub, but unfortunately they are closing at the beginning of May after 30+ years.
Up for Royal Marine Riders weekend. Had a steak lunch here Sunday. Staff and locals very friendly. Food and drink went down very well.
Really nice pub, been our local since moving to Pennymoor in 2020.
Great garden, beautiful, cosy interior with a lovely fire. Locals are very warm and welcoming and a decent selection of drinks given the small bar. Food is solid pub fare at a very reasonable price.
Also a deceptively large amount of space inside ie a lot of seating area including a skittles room, darts, pool table etc on top of the main drinking/eating area.
Couldn't recommend more. Worth noting the only non 5 star reviews are from a clearly bitter and intolerant person 4 years ago who suspiciously has made one Google review and has a private account. Disappointing to see people like that trying to slander good rural pubs given all the challenges they face these days. The other wassomeone who gave feedback whilst saying nothing other than fully positive comments...
Definitely visit. Look forward to seeing you there!
Really friendly atmosphere made very welcome as soon as I entered. Locals were very open and engaging. Plenty of space . Great little country pub with a good selection of beers. Can not recommend this place too highly.
We went to a Race night function at Cruwys Arms with all profits going to Force at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. It really was a very enjoyable evening. Well organised and great atmosphere. The pub landlord and lady are very friendly and welcoming.
Certainly won’t ever be going there again!
The owner was completely rude to us, my 3 year daughter was watching something on my phone whilst we waiting for our food and the owner told us to very abruptly to turn it off, no manners at all, so unfortunately we walked out. Would certainly not recommend this pub, which is a shame as it’s now our local pud.
Rod & Val looked after us for my parents 40th wedding anniversary party. Catered a large group with a cracking menu of simple but excellently cooked british pub grub. Beautiful steak & gammon, great veggie canneloni, lasagne, etc. Service is friendly and personable, and they all came round to make sure we were happy and the food was alright. A real traditional South West country pub with a lovely menu.
Great atmosphere. Went to the Arms for an 18th Birthday celebration, it was the perfect choice for the celebration. The days tour started at the Arms and finished Arms a day of joy and music.Highly recommend.
