We eat at the Crown most Sundays but today we had to have a takeaway as the wife was unwell. All I can say is “brilliant” . Didn’t even need to ping it. San (wife) is having her pudding later as she’s too full lol.
We did have Yorkshire puddings but forgot to put them on the photos.
We called in here last night for tea with 3 adults and 4 kids. Staff were super friendly and chatty, food is homemade and you definitely wont leave hungry. Would highly recommend.
Beware of the locals though everytime we walked in the main bar they stopped talking making it super known we weren't local ????
The staff here were fantastic. We turned up a party of 8 with 5 dogs between us. We had a little wait as the place was packed. The staff went out of their way to sort out a table for us.
The staff are so friendly you feel like you could be in your local, actually our local is not that friendly!! Would certain recommend to anyone to visit. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night too.
What can I say.
We stopped close by for a week's holiday and used the Crown 3 times. Great local pub, great atmosphere, great food and fab staff. The Sunday Roasts are the best and defo need to book to make sure you get a table.
Even got introduced to a new dish called the Chicken Parmo when eating one night.
If I could give more stars I would, will be back when next in the area.
There is an extensive lunch menu, the food came with the minimum of delay and was excellent. The lady behind the bar was pleasant, chatty and helpful. We had dropped in on the way up the A1 because we were passing at about lunchtime and it had been recommended. What a find! Thoroughly recommended. Thank you to all at The Crown.
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Well located on the main road into Brompton on Swale with ample parking at the rear of the pub.
Staff were very friendly and the food was beautiful and very reasonably priced at roughly £16 per adult for two courses. My wife particularly noted free feminine hygiene products in the toilets which was a lovely little touch.
Without doubt one of the most friendly pubs we have ever been to. My wife and I arrived to stay overnight in our motorhome and we were met in the carpark to be introduced and answer any questions. Food and drinks were flowing and not only were the staff friendly but all the locals made a point of including us in the banter. Shift changed and the late shift were no different. An absolutely fabulous night and will visit again soon. THANK YOU ALL
Sunday lunch at the crown was very nice ,well presented ,plenty of meat lovely homemade Yorkshire pudding, mash and roast potatoes ,parsnip swede carrots and broccoli, all cooked well.A good choice of puddings as well
