We moved to the area a year ago and the Crafty quickly became our local.
There really is something for everyone, nice decor with a great selection of beers and snacks, various board games for families, decent music and a nice outside space too.
I’m a stout drinker usually but there’s always loads of different beers to choose from, especially on the cask lines which change regularly so you get to try all kinds from different brewers. They always have a stout option which I love to sample which is never a problem before you buy a pint.
On New Year’s Day they organised a pop up street food taco stall which was really popular.
The owners Paul & Kerry and their son Ethan the bar manager are really friendly. This is a popular busy little bar and I wish them every success they deserve it.
Had a great time here. Lovely well kept real ale served (in my case) from the wood. Definitely recommend.
A great little bar. The front side of the bar can get a little chilly with the door opening constantly, however the back end is cosy.
They serve a good range of cask ales ciders and larger.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place

Stoumbled accross this micro pub the other day.
Modern decor inside, comfy with plenty of room to sit.
Freindly staff and a good selections of ales from local breweies to some of your bigger breweries like Tiny Rebel.
About a 10 minute walk from Monkseaton Metro its definatly worth a visit and I'll be back.
A great pub. In my opinion it has the best beer in the area, and the best selection. It's also a lovely place to spend time - very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We have been in a few times now as we live local and I just don't get the place. We have never felt welcomed any of the times that we have been in and this was your last chance to prove us wrong. The two guys have absolutely zero customer service skills, they are both miserable, rude and passive aggressive. If you ask to try a craft beer before you buy one it seems like an absolute chore to them and your are met with grunts of disapproval. But on the whole any interaction with them has never been an enjoyable experience. Which is a shame because its got a nice vibe and been done out really nicely. Unfortunately 3 strikes and your out, we won't be returning again. Don't open a bar if you don't like serving people or sell craft beers if you don't expect people to want to try them before they buy them.
