Considering I’m from Maryland the food was good. Definitely needed some seasoning. The Dungeons Crab and shrimp was fresh but some seasoning needed. My wife had the Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowl. It was very good. My son had Corn Dogs and curly fries. He was content. Not enough seating. Only outdoor seating and it was 48 degrees out by the water. I wish I had gotten the Lobster Roll. Everyone was saying how good it was.
I dined here twice on the week of 8 - 14 January 2024. I'm no expert on seafood, but I enjoyed the crab sandwich and beer on Tuesday, and returned on Thursday for the lobster roll, and some raw oysters. Regrettably, one of the oysters was a bit off; I accept this as a risk with any raw seafood. For a SF tourist venue, the prices are reasonable, and there are a few non-seafood items on the menu, for picky eaters. The proprietors hale from Hong Kong, and friendly and engaging when they aren't too busy. I'd gladly return on a future visit to the area.
This place speaks chinese. They give off street food vibes. The food is not very pricey. Calm chowder worth my money. If they heated up the lobster sandwich it would have been better.
This place feels like you’re eating local even though it’s located right in the middle of a tourist area. The prices were much cheaper than most places and the portions were a good sized. The shrimp roll was loaded with shrimp, just wish the bread wasn’t so hard to bite into and cold. I wish it was like toasted or with butter on it or something. The crab was reasonably priced and was super good!
Great seafood, have gotten crab and lobster here before. Staff is helpful
The food is delicious, seafood and chips, their main signature dish is clam chowder. Fried shrimp are my favorites, in my opinion the food is very tasty. the atmosphere is familiar and it is close to several shops and attractions
If you are looking for value, it’s really a great place. We got two fresh large crabs, fried squid, and shrimp cocktail and juice. All for $74 + tips (versus other restaurants around $65 per crab).
We assume the reason the review isn’t perfect for this restaurant is just because of the environment as it’s a bit small.
Will definitely come back again!
As fresh as it gets when it comes to seafood. Right on fisherman’s wharf, so you can expect a crowd on weekends but during the week it was empty with a lot of curb side seating. $32 was more than reasonable for the loaded lobster roll I ordered. Really tasty and a great alternative to the same kind of sandwich you can get in many other places. The accept card but definitely appreciate cash.
