I loved the vibe of the restaurant. We tried the conch fritter, stuffed blue crab, coconut shrimp, long neck clams, and key lime pie. The conch fritters were a favorite. Everything was seasoned well and had balanced flavors. I had not tried long neck clams before, they had a interesting flavor and a nice chewy texture. The key lime pie hit different, if you have room after make sure to try it! The restaurant is located directly beside the water with a nice view. Staff were great. Cash only.
Service was good. The restaurant itself is kind of old and outdated. There are sliding glass doors that look out over the ocean, but they were pretty dirty and smudged. The food was alright, but not worth the price in my opinion. We both had the blackened grouper & it was just okay. I wish it had more flavor. It definitely looked better than it tasted. The fried okra wasn’t very good. The side salad however was pretty good. The stone crab claws were tasty but also not worth the price in my opinion. For over $120 we could have had two or three good meals at other restaurants in the area. I was pretty disappointed that the best thing I had during my meal was a side salad.
How about them Legs! Frog legs speak for themselves ???? and the Crab Claws and grilled Shrimp were Awsome as well!! Topped it all off with a Blueberry Vodka Smash!! Great old fashion seafood restaurant with a view of King's Bay is a must visit when in Crystal River Florida.
I absolutely love everything about this place. I was able to eat here with my gluten intolerance and didn't get sick. The atmosphere and view were amazing. They only take cash, but there is an ATM available. I made sure to get a souvenir shirt to take home.
My Family and I came for lunch. Highly recommend the Blackened Grouper Sandwich or the Shrimp Linguine!! Service is fast and the whole crew are super friendly. The Crabby Patty is my favorite beverage. The view over the water is wonderful. Great place to come for great food!
Near my hometown! Delicious FRESH seafood daily! We took a fishing charter and brought in our catch to have it cooked up for us. Trout was cooked 3 ways: Grilled, Blackened and Fried! We had it cut up to share as an appetizer. Food was amazing! I had the Fisherman’s Platter, our friends had Stone Crab Claws - Jumbo. Also ordered by the table were fish tacos - choice of fish was the snapper and also a Snapper Dinner. We will be back! Daytime seating by the water is also beautiful!
Had a very nice mojito. Our waitress was Kelsey. She was very good at guiding me through my food choices. Since I have gluten and dairy allergies, sometimes picking things I can eat is tricky. I had the grilled shrimp, which was fabulous-great seasoning-and potato salad and coleslaw. Will be back. The views are great and they were feeding the resident birds.
Crystal River, the Ozark of Florida, didn’t disappoint! Our group of 8 got seated within 5 minutes around 12:30 p.m. Food came fast and fresh, service was supreme, the view was great! Low country boil is big enough to feed 2! Grouper sandwich was delicious; smoked fish dip and conch fritter were equally good. Oh that key lime pie !! Yum! It is satisfying to have such an authentic Florida dining experience.
