This is now officially my favorite restaurant in the area! Anytime we want an outstanding fish dinner, we will definitely go to The Cove! Not only was the food exceptional, but the view and the ambiance are also wonderful. My husband ordered the Walleye... it was the best we've ever eaten. And the Whitefish Tacos had me humming on every bite... especially with their in-house made hot sauce! I want to try everything on the menu!
Breathtakingly beautiful! I took my daughter here for dinner ????️ while her and I were attending a conference at the Grand Traverse Hotel. The atmosphere alone is worth the time and effort but the food was delicious ???? too! I would love to go back and enjoy the sun, the water and my daughter again! ❤️????️ Hopefully soon!
The whitefish here is amazing. White, tender, moist and flaky. The atmosphere is very casual and they have outside seating right next to the water. Fishtown is a fun experience and the Cove starts off the experience. They plop a fish in your Bloody Mary but you cannot opt out of that. The key lime pie is wonderful and homemade! The view is wonderful and the service is terrific. Don’t miss this place when you’re in Leland, Mi. Now it’s a year later and we’re back again and it’s still amazing. I won’t eat fish anywhere else and this time I got the HOMEMADE cherry pie for dessert. Mmmmmm
The perfect restaurant for a fish town. It's pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Nautical themed, plenty of wood, kitschy decor. The menu, of course is mainly fish themed as well. The service was good, our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food arrived timely and was delicious however I was slightly disappointed in the portion size. If I was hoping for a light meal it would have been sufficient. That being said, I was still happy with the experience and would have no qualms about returning or recommending.
I very much enjoyed the Cove, it was on my must visit list. The atmosphere was the main draw, there was nothing at all wrong with the food it just was not very good value. I would still go back.
Highly recommend a stop at The Cove for a lunch or dinner. I had the blackened whitefish sandwich and my wife had pan fried whitefish. Our server Julie was awesome! She was polite and very attentive to our needs.
Had a great experience eating at the Cove in Leland, MI. We were out on a drive and felt like fish. A quick Google search said the Cove was the place to go. We had a fantastic waiter that answered all our questions, gave recommendations and always had a smile on his face. Our meal was most enjoyable and we will be back for sure! Don't hesitate to come try a meal at The Cove!
My husband and I were in Michigan for a funeral and my father in law suggested we make a drive to Leland. I did some searching on Tiktok and there were numerous recommendations to eat at The Cove. Let me tell you, we don’t have fish like this in Oklahoma. I had the best Parmesan crusted white fish. It was amazing. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything here. The view is pretty and the service was amazing. Definitely worth the drive. Parking was a little tough, but it was also a Saturday and it’s summer, so that’s to be expected. So happy we decided to make the drive from Traverse City.
