What a place i'll tell ya, you could be seated anywhere ya like! pretty awesome for someone like me who's a complete introvert, the servers we very kind and heartwarming, gives the environment like your home. tried out the food and it was delicious i enjoyed it a lot the pancakes were a delight it was tasty. must try again
First time here. The food came out in a timely manner and it was delicious. Our waitress Darby was amazing and keep the coffee topped off and she was very pleasant. We'll be back for sure!!!
Basic diner fare, average price, cute but nothing fancy decor
But this place gets 6 stars on a five star rating because of the service. Both servers showed me true local empathy and compassion on a day my dog was getting double surgeries and I had to unexpectedly handle unrelated personal issues. One server literally gave me her personal phone number for me to text her once I was home with my pup. Both of them are why I will recommend Country Kitchen to anyone in the area.
Every now and then you are lucky enough to stumble upon a popular locals place like this and get treated like a local. The service was friendly and attentive despite being busy. The coffee was good and refilled without having to ask. Our breakfast, especially the home fries, oh those home fries, was delicious. The prices were incredibly reasonable. A great value. You should give this place a try if you are in the area.
My favorite local diner! The prices are good and the food is great. It's longstanding Methuen Square location has ample street parking and two municipal parking lots nearby. My parents brought me there as a kid in the '70s and I have been going ever since. Great spot for breakfast and lunch. They are open later on Fridays and serve various fresh seafood specials. Fish and Chips is excellent! Wish I could go every week.
I have to say. I'm not sure why. But the food had a strong salty taste to it. Otherwise. The breakfast was good. Good portions. The coffe was good. And the people there were very nice.
Came here once since they were well rated.
It's an old musty dirty establishment. Food was ok - I just got pancakes. Nothing wrong with the food I got.
Waitress was amazing, friendly, attentive, respectful, carried a conversation with me (and others who seemed to be regulars), just a wonderful person all around!
They have high chairs - a bit on the dirty side and I also had to re-wipe the table down.
Price was fine for my pancakes but I can't speak for the other offerings on the menu.
Many locals inside, all who seemed to know eachother and look forward to being there, they are an older crowd though, so I'm sure a screaming toddler wasn't ideal during my visit there. However those locals were enamored with my young son and made it more comfortable even though he was very loud and cranky!
If I needed pancakes in a pinch I'd go back to get them.
Entry way is a bit congested.
