I stayed at The Cottage Guest House in July 2018, to be closer to the airport, than the City. I am so glad I found this place! The manager was friendly and offered to help me take my very heavy suitcase up the narrow stairs - I was grateful! The carpets in the corridors are old and the staircase is dark, but bear in mind the age of this place. ||||The room was absolutely clean. It was simply furnished but had everything needed, including a fan, mini-fridge and a tray with a kettle, tea and biscuits. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and quilt. There was a good-sized bathroom. ||||What I best liked about this place was the garden, which is like a courtyard, with a gazebo, fountain, fruits trees and rose bushes. Breakfast was provided with my reservation and is made to order. The breakfast room overlooks the garden which is a delightful way to start the morning. ||||Down the street is The Queens Head pub where one can get a bite to eat - the Front Desk had a menu. ||||This bed-and-breakfast is between two buildings and set back a bit from the road, but not hard to locate. It is enclosed by a gate where you have to ring to be buzzed in. There is a car park within the premises.
This little hotel is tucked away just of the main high st in Cranford. It was clean and a well presented room. The staff were very helpful. Surprisingly we didn’t hear the planes from Heathrow but maybe that’s because we slept so well!!! There was some outside space which was nicely done. Very impressed. ||The breakfast was lovely too,.
We stayed here for 1 night as we were going to a concert at Twickenham Stadium. ||We had the family room and it was lovely. No frills but very clean and nice. Tea and coffee in room, a small fridge which had cold water bottles inside, which considering the heat was a welcome surprise. ||Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and served in a conservatory overlooking a lovely garden.||We didn't have a car but there is parking and all cars have to be buzzed in, including taxis.||Heathrow Airport to here is about £16 in a taxi. If going to Twickenham Stadium it will cost about £25.||I would definitely stay here again, without hesitation.
Stayed here for the Saturday night before heading off to Twickenham for England - v - Barbarians the next day. I would agree with the majority of comments (altho no sign of an aggressive owner at all - the member of staff that checked us in was very courteous and efficient). The establishment is tucked away from the main road and with the bonus of secure and free parking (a token is needed if returning after 11.00 pm). The breakfast was served at the table and again staff were all very polite and professional, the continental and cooked breakfasts were very tasty, staff attentive asking if everything was ok and checking if any more tea, coffee etc. was needed. The garden area is also a nice space to spend time in.
Stayed here when we went to Twickenham for the rugby. Easy to find and had secure parking and then only a £14 Uber ride to the stadium. The place is very dated but the room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was included and that was very tasty and served nice and hot. All staff were very friendly and the whole stay was good value for money.
Stayed here for a couple of days whilst going to see a concert at Twickenham and the overall welcoming was very good. The gentleman was very helpful, informative and friendly.||||The place has secure access through an electric gate for cars and a lockable side gate for walking through.||||The room as a whole was very comfortable a roomy and the bathroom, despite a bit of mould and flaky ceiling paint was spacious. The bed was quite comfortable even though the pillows could do with replacing.||||The breakfast was pretty good too.||||Great Hotel for its price
This guest house was one of my best choice. The personnel was very kind, the breakfast delicious and the bed very comfy. So, if you want a quiet, clean and comfy place to stay nearby London and close to Heathrow then choose this guest house!
Close to m4, half an hour walk to tube station. Cars are in gated secure carpark, they let me leave the car at their property while i was in London getting a new passport. Room was clean, bed a bit old but serviceable. Had a choice of breakfast, and i selected a full English. This included toast, 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs (could have had poached), beans in tom sauce, fried tomato and even a hash brown. No bacon was offered. All in all very good value for money. Also nice sitting area outside.
