We ordered the chicken fried steak and the biscuit and gravy specials. Both were delicious. Service was good and our server was super friendly. Cute little diner with a eat at counter… have a cup of coffee and watch your food being made right in front of you! We would eat here again if we were in the area.
Often forget about this hidden little spot cause if you try to come here on the weekend, you will be waiting! Came on a weekday, and it was awesome
And got to sit right away.
It’s a tiny little spot in Capitola that has been here serving breakfast and lunch since 1977. Pretty sure the owner runs it and works here, and she is very nice.
They have daily specials and are open for breakfast and lunch from 7-2pm. Coffee is good, and the food was delicious as well. The service is always great.
Had eggs, hash browns, crispy bacon and sourdough toast. Everything was great!
Cozy 7 table with counter restaurant, but it felt like you had your own space to enjoy your own meal. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The delicious breakfast was filling and we will be back
This place is amazing! If I lived here I would come everyday. Really small, family owned breakfast restaurant. Kind of a dive - IN A GOOD WAY! Fast service, food is excellent and the owner is the waitress. Places like this are hard to find and this is one in a million. Highly recommended for a great breakfast.
Food was really good. Good size portions. Staff could have been more attentive but friendly. Fairly small place but seemed like a local place. Took almost an hour to sit due to being a smaller location. Kitchen could be cleaned up a bit but overall I think I'd return if in the area.
My brother and I where there after driving 12 hours and the food is not equal to the amount you have to pay. . 30 bucks for just me and I had a simple breakfast, my brother ordered the biscuits and gravy and didn't finish it so I would not choose to eat here again . . . .But the lady's working there where very nice!
The sausage and hashbrowns were great. Eggs not done medium though as requested. The food server was very friendly but way too perky. Maybe she shouldn't have had morning coffee.
Oh, And coffee was just warm...even the refills. Furniture is old and dingy and in desperate need of being refinished along with the kitchen door which looked gross.
Too expensive for this run down place!
Absolutely a great breakfast! Stop here if you want a local spot and a great fresh breakfast that doesn't break the bank..
