It’s Sunday night and I’m still thinking about the chicken salad sandwich, housemade chips, and the crunchy pickle I enjoyed this morning at The Coffee Station. After attempting to order from the wrong menu, our waitress recommended I try the chicken salad sandwich instead. Given her friendly, prompt, and warm service, I went ahead and followed her suggestion. The chicken salad was perfect - obviously homemade with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and served on toasted rye bread. It was absolutely fantastic and just what I needed. The seasoned chips were also delicious, especially dipped in some of the chicken salad. The pickle was the perfect size and bursting with unique flavor. My meal was reasonably priced; tasty, simple food that’s made well in a great portion size. Can’t wait for another one of my friend and my lunch dates at The Coffee Station so that I can savor the chicken salad sandwich again!
I love this place!!! Pleasant staff & the food is BANGING!!!! You can't go wrong with The Morton Monster Sandwich & the Scrapple Fries are next level!!!
Great food at a good price point in a fun location. I’m a big enjoyer of the Chris sandwich. I bring people to the coffee station all the time, never had someone not like it
What a little gem! I went here years ago and had a lackluster meal… and thus I’ve clearly been missing out since! Our kitchen renovation has led to some more local experimentation, and I’m very lucky to have checked out this spot with my two younger kids. The restaurant has a honey, slightly kitschy aesthetic. Lots of neat stuff on the walls for your kids to look at during your meal (or for you!). You can also eat in a former bank vault! Service was outstanding with well-delineated roles among order taker, server, and busser. Super nice to my two kids. Willy Wonka pancakes were outstanding as were Chunky Monkey pancakes. I had eggs Benedict with some really excellent hashbrowns. Coffee was outstanding. Who knew… Just a few blocks from my house is a little breakfast gem in Morton Pennsylvania.
I enjoyed a Morton monster, scrapple fries and pork roll. Each was 10 out of 10. That was the best breakfast sandwich I have bought in about two decades.
Excellent food, especially the Tuscan omelet and the turkey club! The service is awesome. Friendly staff!
The waitresses are very nice and polite. The food service is very good. Food prices are excellent.
I had a standard benchmark breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and coffee. Usually I get a fruit cup, but only blueberries & bananas were available. The potatoes had a steamy flavor that tasted less "fried" than most. I forgot to ask about peppers & onions.
The bacon didn't have a lot of lean, but was cooked optimally for the cut, with the result being slightly crisp, but not burned.
The toast wasn't buttered. This varies by region and restaurant. Many breakfast spots in this area deliver the toast buttered.
The portions were reasonable. For this meal I can only judge by the potatoes, which were a normal portion rather than the big pile you might get in some venues. The 1 egg in the photo was my preference.
As someone else said, the place has a lot of character. Chotchkies abound, and the bank building heritage is evident. The crowd feels local, and the tables are close so you are intimate with everyone around you (and their kids, walkers, etc.). This gives a good vibe if you like humans (which I have found most Delcoans do).
There are a few outside tables on the shady side of the building. I will try it next time for the fresh air and entertainment from the trains going by.
You cannot include a tip on your credit card, so hopefully you brought some dirty paper. Many modern people prefer to pay the entire bill with a credit card, even at a cost premium. In fact, the next generation likely won't know what to do if they can't pay the bill by phone. How will they figure the tip if it's not a button on the screen?
