A clean and nice restaurant tucked away at the back of the chippy. It wasn't too stuffy or warm despite the frying and cooking being done in the same room.
Food was fresh and in good portions. Chips done perfectly to how we like them with lots of flavour. The children's meal of chicken chunks had good size chunks of chicken breast. Everything was presented well too.
Wow! I will never forget this awesome fish & chips! The chips were delicious and the cod was beautiful and succulent! Perfect F&C supper!
This HAS to be the first place you visit for your F&C! You'll definitely return for more.
We visited The Cod Shop last year on our visit to Minehead and decided we had to visit again this year. The guy who served us was very friendly, efficient and helpful. We ordered for 6, ate outside under a very large umbrella and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The shop and seating area was clean and tidy and there was also an indoor restaurant too. Our food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious - the best
fish and chips we've had. We parked by the sea front (free after 6pm) and took a short wander up to the The Cod Shop. I would highly recommend.
Very light and crisp batter around the cod fillet. Tasted as delicious as it looked. Good value for the money. Slightly sober, but very clean interior.
Soft drinks unreasonably cheap for a restaurant at just 1.50 £.
Recommended.
Friendly service, good sized portions. Busier in the Summer and when Butlins is open.
A big plus has got to be, that even my extremely fussy cat loves the fish.
Best fish and chips we have had for a long time, fresh and hot, delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean. We took ours out to eat along the seafront but they had a lovely seating area also spotlessly clean and seating and benches out front for nice days. Would recommend and we will visit again.

really nice food, the fish just fell apart and the curry sauce was delectable, nice little shop to visit by the coast!
