My third or fourth visit in as many months and still consistently good. Quiet ambience, pleasing decor and a beer list bordering on both trad and contemporary with a heavy bias towards local beers, kept in top condition and served at your table by enthusiastic staff. Saltash is once again a destination for a decent beer after perusing the charity shops and record shop across the road. A gem.
Lovely beer lovely staff and lovely clientele. Awesome bar snacks but no food, but you can bring in a takeaway if you ask. If you like good beer served by someone who genuinely cares about it this is a place for you.
Such a refreshingly outstanding place for Saltash drinkers. No food, no loud music, no phone calls, just a nice hum from people talking to each other. Really hoping the guys running it get the credit and business they deserve. Decor is fantastic. Range of local beers is great, priced extremely reasonably and they are only selling the good stuff and none of the usual rubbish. Recommend the Thundercloud from Firebrand brewery in Launceston, could have stayed and got thoroughly pie-eyed! Not tried them but was tempted by the range of local gins too.
Loved our recent outing to the Cockleshell ^_^ ! The chaps in there are super and the drinks were lovely & lots of choice. Decorated really interestingly and makes a nice change from normal. A place for conversations as well as the drinks ????????
Certainly a little different from your everyday pub. Great choice of craft beers and ciders. Will definitely be going back.
This is what we need more of. Good old fashioned British pubs with an excellent range of good beers and good conversation. I visited last year when they were open and look forward to visiting again as soon as this Covid thing is over. Great service with a friendly smile as well :)
My favourite pub in Saltash. Well run with friendly knowledgeable staff. Good selection of quality beers and ciders. Always good trying the new selections

They are managing the covid-19 restrictions exceptionally well, the best I've seen anywhere ????
