Fortunate enough to have this place as my local. After reopening with great success and then faltering slightly (due IMO to some poor staffing), I'm pleased to say it's a great place to go again. Current staff are top notch! Super friendly and welcoming. Love the rolling changes of various cask ales from (mostly) Don Valley Brewery, with the staple Atomic Blonde going down a treat. Life is back in the village boozer and long may it continue.
Awsome pub, I wish I could have stayed longer. Service was very friendly, food was good and they also had an excellent number of whiskeys to choose from.
We use this pub regularly and on xmas day we made plans to have a drink in there only for us to be told quite nastily that the tills had been closed and would not serve us at 3.10 when advertised on Facebook it was 4pm and on a leaflet at 5pm . Left a comment 3 times and been deleted . Just disgraceful and it was the owner that spoke to us . No respect for villagers that use pub regularly.we have supported this pub many times when there has been no one in over the Xmas period and before and to be treated this way on Xmas day was just unacceptable
Love this place. Beautiful renovation and lots of outdoor space with great service ...limited menu...just pizzas but that's not a surprise under the circumstances. It's the tiny details that make this pub such a pleasure to visit.
Bit disappointed. I've been here before and the beer was OK. This time the barmaid was miserable. The tables needed cleaning. The beer was above £6 a pint .
Great pub this. Found it as we were passing though. Big beer garden. Lots of different sides to the pub. Tap room bar etc. Fast and friendly service. Senisble on price. Easy parking. Not quite 5 star. But was close. Will definatley go back. And would recommend. Dog friendly as well.
Fantastic, friendly local pub. It was a themed night with gastro pies, they were delicious! A great solo vocalist performing. The pub looks amazing with a great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and are happy to help with any enquiry or request.
Great choice of hand pulled ales and premium largers. If whiskeys are your thing they have a varied choice in the cabinet to suit all tastes.
This has a brilliant outside area and the staff are friendly, also the service is brilliant. They also do pizza ????
