Best KPortal Reviews

Glad to have The Clover restaurant and pub in Rosemount, MN. It adds a lot to our local dining options.
This time I ordered the Beer Battered Sunfish, which was pleasing. Unfortunately, they were already out of the salmon entrée. So I do recommend going early vs later in the evening to enjoy the full range of entrees and appetizers. A young man came from the kitchen to ask how I wanted my sunfish prepared, which is super great customer service. He was happy to grill it vs fry the fish. I also was able to substitute fresh fruit for the French fries. It came with two sauces, and both were a nice blend with the fish.
The Irish Stew pairs up perfectly with The Clover’s Charred Garlic Toast. It’s ideal for cold winter meals. The Irish Chop salad is a nice alternative to traditional salads with napa cabbage, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, and almonds; I like it best at brunchtime.
The Clovertini has raspberry, cranberry, and pineapple fruit flavors; they were kind enough to cut the alcohol content way down for me. The Thai Mojito is also great.
I love the large table by the fireplace – great for larger groups. Families find it quite friendly as they serve free popcorn. This may keep kids content until their ordered food arrives. For groups seeking a quiet corner, there is an ideal booth. While it has a TV, you can turn it off or up, to your liking.
Parking is good. You can spot The Clover on your left if driving north on Hwy 3 in Rosemount. It’s across from Aldi’s and next to Starbucks Coffee.
I picked a quiet Friday mid afternoon for lunch. Music playing is pleasant and at a respectable volume. The Irish stew is bold and rich in flavor, far better than most beef stews I've sampled. The bread with it leaves much to be desired in flavor. Though it has a nice crunch, I do not find it complimentary to the stew. The Flame Burger is quite enjoyable if you can handle some spice. It did not leave me feeling like I was breathing ????, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that thinks jalapenos are too hot to eat. The French fries have excellent seasoning and flavor.
Nice location and atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. We loved our cheese curds appetizer. Generous portions. Angelino Roast beef sandwich was tasty. The ribs were ok (good sauce, but meat was a bit tough) unique and yummy thick cut fries. Will visit again, and maybe hope for an expanded menu at some point.
Loved the sunfish platter and the sauce that came with it. My kid devoured the Mac and cheese so that was good and the cheese curds were like a mini state fair version. The upside down pineapple cake is more savory versus sweet just as a heads up. We will be back.
Black bean burger was good. The lettuce on burger oozed some olive oil dressing out when cut, thought that was odd. My son's grilled cheese and fries were a hit. My husband ordered chicken pot pie. He said it was disappointing. The pot pie was a runny liquid broth instead of creamy like every pot pie ever made. He said it was chicken soup with a pie crust over top of it. Would not recommend buying this ever unless you just want chicken and rice soup. The meatloaf was great that a counter in our group ordered.
Sat at the bar and had prime rib. We ordered it to split and not sure if kitchen understood and I believe cut the meat link wise rather than in half. It was so tough and cold. The potato was cold too. Sent it back. The second time it was better but still tough and potato again not even warm. One of the worst pieces of prime rib I have ever had. The bartender was so apologetic and gave us a discount which we appreciated. Haven’t been there for a while and was certainly not how we remembered the food.It was fantastic the last time we were there. Would not recommend the prime and honestly will probably not be back again for a while.
Highly recommend. The food was great, service was great. Wasn't a huge fan of the cheesecake but wouldn't deter me from going back. Got the Hawaiian chicken sandwhich. Really enjoyed it.
Great experience here! The service is so friendly and patient, even when it got really busy at one point. The food is delicious! The menu is not what you can get just anywhere.
Loved the wings (real chicken wings!) with house-made blue cheese and the Brussel Sprouts! The roast beef is incredible as well.
