Found this gem of a pub while on the Imber bus day and enjoyed a fab lunchtime. Some very decent ales along with great food, we had the steak and ale pie, cottage pie and ham, eggs and chips, all homemade and were absolutely brilliant. Staff were friendly and despite being busy the service was excellent. See you next year hopefully!
Stopped in for a pint on the way home, went in at 1640, states online that pub is open till 6pm geezer behind the bar stated they were closing in 5 minutes, despite there being 40 minutes of a football match left on the scene, and the pub was full of punters, as I arrived three bikers walked in after me, they have not been turned away.
They had no good reason to turn me away, maybe it was the colour of my skin that stopped them from serving me
As I am writing this message, the bikers are enjoying there drink.
It’s a shame to still be treated like this in 2024
Popped in on our way through to Devizes to a lovely local pub with lots of Churchill memorabilia and a nice mix of old and newer decor. Nice selection of drinks, the Guinness was spot on. Nice staff and had some good bants with some locals. Large carpark and a nice outside seating area. Definitely recommend ????
First visit for a long time, we went with friends for mother's Day lunch.
The food was excellent and plenty of it.

Beautiful venue, attentive staff, an excellent buffet for 100+ people. Thank you for a venue where guests were able to mingle, say goodbye to loved ones with the aid of doves and keep warm and dry
Well what can i say 10/10 service. Had fish and chips Friday well presented taste was amazing tried it with curry sauce topped it off with a pint. Nice warm cozy feeling ????????????
We stayed a few days in our motorhome. The owners are so friendly, you feel part of the family. Lovely food. Good atmosphere. Great country pub.
