We had an excellent time at The Choice this past Easter Sunday. The food was outstanding, the service prompt and attentive and there was even a DJ there taking requests. The only issue I had was that the place wasn't packed. Certainly, that's not my problem, but I couldn't help but think that people missed out on a great brunch at a beautiful place. We will be visiting The Choice again throughout the year and it's now on top of our list for holiday brunch locations.
There is a loud dj screaming soul food outside this place! I live 6 blocks away! I called to ask to turn down the volume and she didn’t apologize she said thats the way they advertise!! Then they turned the volume up! Let them know that being inconsiderate is bad business! Call and tell them u will never eat there!
The decor is exquisite. The owner Lillian C. is friendly and professional. The menu choices are excellent.
The only concern I have is the salt in the pork chops, too much salt!!
Definitely a date night out experience.

Music, food, and service is WOW!! I had to be rolled out of the restaurant after eating so much. This business reopened last year, and I hope they stick around! Everyone is very sweet and attentive.

It was obvious the restaurant is under new management and perhaps they recently opened, but their limited vegetable choices were canned; meats (chicken, turkey and pork steaks) were good. Beverages good. Utensils were a plastic fork wrapped in a napkin. The hospitality was great. I hope their menu eventually expands and fresh vegetables are included with a better table setting. This is a hidden gem in South City. I'm almost reluctant to post a review because I want the restuarant to become overcrowded ...especially the days when I'm there (sorry not sorry).
In September 2019, I hosted a Sunday family dinner after church for my son's birthday. It was the 1st time many of my family members visited the restaurant. No complaints. Our server even sang a special rendition of Happy Birthday to my 9yr old.
Personal attention, cozy atmosphere, meatless side items, and delicious soul food makes this a FAVORITE place for Sunday dinners...or any day I don't want to cook.
I request: Please add fountain drinks.

I ate the meatloaf before I decided that I MUST show this place some love ❤❤ on Google, especially since it doesn't show up in my search results when looking for restaurants near me. Soul food search works, but not restaurant search. Definitely needs to be fixed.!
Best meatloaf I ever had, greens were clean, tender and well seasoned, sweet potatoes were tasty.
The atmosphere has a very New Orleans vibe, the staff are humble and friendly and professional.
I had sit down dinner here with my family a while back and the experience was A1. Cant wait to go back!
1st timer and I am impressed. ???? Everyone was so pleasant and courteous. The dining areas were beautiful and decorative. But the food was Outstanding, I got full & still wanted more, we will be back for a date night
