If you’re looking for a place to get dessert, THIS is the place! The atmosphere is so fun and the service is great! My favorite item is the Cazookie. You cannot go wrong with one of these! You can definitely share it, but you won’t want to… that’s how delicious it is.
I love The Chocolate! I’ve been many times and their desserts are really good! All their desserts are super rich so be ready for that! The classic is their cake of course and it does not disappoint but be ready for DEATH by chocolate if you do order anything ????. The parking behind the building is way better than most places in Provo haha so that’s nice. Their cookie sandwiches are really good too.
The Chocolate is our favorite bakery to get special occasion cakes. This time we opted for the dark chocolate and raspberry heart shaped cake, and it did not disappoint!
The cake was rich, moist, chocolate was pleasantly dark omitting the bitterness. The raspberry coulis at the top gave a lovely tart note, and the fresh raspberries were very much appreciated.
Visited this dessert shop after reading a recommendation on the “Female Foodie,” food blog. I’m from NC. This is my second trip to Utah. I’ve always had very pleasant experiences in this state.
I did not receive the best customer service from the young woman who came to the counter when I entered. She did not greet me or offer assistance. She stared at me as if I was lost, and so I greeted her. There was a young man who actually stepped to the forefront to help. I addressed my questions about the desserts to him. He was courteous and pleasant - thank you. I purchased “the Cherub,” and the Lemon Raspberry cake. The latter was my favorite - the raspberry filling was nothing short of decadent.
Friday we got to go to The Chocolate in Orem on our field trip. Kajsia, the owner, came out and spoke to us about her bakery and her experience. The kids got to pick a comfortable seat or couch to sit in while they listened. Then she let each of us pick a cookies ????...so many options. We got to eat the cookies on their front porch, which was so fun. Only one cookie wasn't finished and it was because the sweet girl wanted to take some home for her mom ❤️. I love our community partners who let our kids come and practice their life skills. Thanks Kajsia for the seriously yummy cookies! And thanks Kaylynn Young for setting it up for us!
For $7 a slice I expect better. The frosting was tasty, but the cake was incredibly dry and dense. It looked like they filled the layers with crumbs to make up for fallen cakes. Not very tasty and horrible texture. This was a weekly flavor, blueberry and vanilla.
My first time at the chocolate. It was great! We got a cazookie with chocolate chip and pb cookies, which was a great combination. It’s more expensive than The Wash in Provo, but was out much quicker. The building is cute but small and parking can be hard to find. There is additional parking in the back to the left of the building.
I wish I could give 0 stars. My fiancé and I scheduled a cake tasting here for our wedding and 4 out of the 6 cakes were terrible, so we planned to make an order for the other two flavors for our cake and cupcakes. They took all of our info, said they’d get back to us with an invoice, and then they never did. I emailed twice, called, texted, and never heard back in the two weeks since the tasting. They ghosted us. They never seemed to have a problem communicating until they saw we were an LGBTQ+ couple at our tasting. Absolutely disappointed and frustrated to have wasted $30 on a tasting for a terrible company with crappy cake. They will never get another dime from me.
