Nice lady, freshly made fish in batter, done within 5 mins. Good service and wonderful meal tasty. Really enjoyed it.
The only reason it was rated 4 and not 5 is because it took 2 hours for food to arrive on a delivery.
Food was a 10/10 and delivery driver was sound.
I'd 100% have this again but maybe go and pick it up next time

Great food. Best in the locality for sure. Good quality potatoes obviously used unlike most other greedy profiteering chippies in the area. Expect a wait as there is unavoidably a queue due to the popularity of the place. Well worth waiting for though. Very reasonably priced too. For our big family was £10 cheaper than other shops AND better quality food too!

Awesome and prompt service with reliable hours, dedicated staff and we're quicker than most to offer a slightly altered service during this difficult time with all the same great food as usual ???????? Just wish Google would update the listing as it's called The Chip Shop Ystrad (Rhondda) now (and not Dunnings as it was under the former management)
Curry and chips was superb, chips were fresh and the curry nicely spicy.
Sent my daughter to get food today. She bought the food shortly after the shop opened.
The chips were awful, virtually inedible. More than half went in the bin. Such a disappointment, I would guess they were cooked last night and then warmed up again just before the shop opened.
