The two fish were of the same size ! ? Fish was cooked nicely - but the batter , if you look at other reviews , they say the same thing - thin, soggy, and bland - try a new recipe!
Chips very small portion.
Atmosphere in there is awkward, not very welcoming, with people hovering about behind the counter looking into thin air.(strange)
Awful the mankiest chips I've ever had I've tried ringing to complaim but no answer ,every chip either black or rubbish NEVER go there!!

Had fish and chips tonight not the best the batter was soggy and not crisp. Chips not warm and looked anemic and the curry sauce was like water no taste and also cold. Will not be using this place again it has definitely gone down hill

Went for fish and chip today they was very kind
Friendly service and lovely, fresh and well cooked food. Their home-made fishcakes are some of the best I've ever had and the fishcake special (2 fishcakes and chips) is great value for money... I have had thier fish on occasion and its always freshly cooked to perfection... Well worth a trip.
I like this little chippy very much and as it's always busy I'm thinking it must be popular with locals..you can't beat their fishcake special (2 homemade fishcakes and chips) for £2.40..Today I tried one of their 3 cheese, red onion and potato cakes (£1.00) for the first time and It was beautiful....I've had their fish a few times and it's stunning, nice size and perfectly cooked and a large is only £3.80 I think..
I recommend you try it for yourself. If you're not local its worth a trip..
