Best KPortal Reviews

Pretty big steakhouse atmosphere with live music. Some country music and 60s and 70s music. Some people had fun dancing front of the stage. Pretty loud live music and not recommended for intimate dates. We got ribs, porkchop, chicken fried steak, and French dip. Side salad, onion rings, and Porkchop was good. Rib and chicken fried steak was ok. Side veggies had pretty strong garlic flavor. French dip came with very soggy buns and very dry chewy meat (do not recommend). Our server was very fast and not a great service. Handicap parking is very far from the entrance.
We decided to try it after reading reviews...quite a few of them not that great. As soon as we entered I was having second thoughts. The place had quite a few people in it, almost all seniors (we are seniors as well). The entertainment was a 1 man show, basically singing karaoke. He had a sound system and he sang. He did have a pretty good voice but it was very loud. Talking to anyone (waitress, wife) was near impossible. I ordered the special, ribs, my wife ordered pulled pork. The meals came out fairly timely, I believe about 20 minutes. Both my ribs and fries were Luke warm. Wife said her meal was also not hot. I am no chef, but I feel the ribs were yesterdays and warmed up or something. They did not taste fresh at all. My wife said her pulled pork was very good. I must say our server, Matty, informed us she was brand new and please bear with her. Other than not having all the answers (she is brand new) she did an excellent job.
I look at this place as more like a bar for seniors. Lots just there drinking and dancing. Although I didn't notice anything in particular, it just felt dirty to me...just my feelings.
Next day both of us made a few extra trips to washroom...coincidence?
Edit: received a message asking us to please try them again. I see this message on a lot of their reviews. Sorry, it will not happen. There are plenty of places with great food around, don't need the troubles again.
This is a senior crowd Bar. Dive bar experience should be expected. The crowd leaves early. Lots of karaoke. The employees are so so. I didn't eat. I have friends who love this place and go all the time. I just stopped in for a drink one night. I wasn't impressed with the service or staff at all. They start cleaning up the bar & closing off sections as they clean water before closing time so if you show up and hour or two before they close, don't expect the so so service & be prepared to smell bleach during your visit. I'm giving 3 stars because a few friends love this place.
We were there for quite a while before we got a menu. A wait before a drink order was even taken. Even longer before a food order was taken. Our food was an hour after that before it came out. Orders were wrong, the checks were a nightmare. However atmosphere is cool and food was really good. And the hostess with the mostest Feleene(spelling?)was an absolute treasure! I would give 4 stars for the food. I didn't get pics of all plates but the pancakes were huge and I had the Pile Up which is a pretty big dish if you're hungry! Had a Bloody Mary and a Cape Cod that were good!
Hidden back off US60 or Grand Avenue behind Trader Joe's & Sherwin Williams Paint, we arrived on a Saturday for lunch to an almost empty restaurant. Seated quickly and served drinks, the food came pretty quickly and was tasty. We had a French Dip, Club sandwich and a fish po'boy. Two of us had potato salad for a side and a Cole Slaw. The Club was messy but tasted good and the other two sandwiches were were ample & tasty. The room being large & nearly empty, atmosphere was hard to judge. I'd go again.
The food is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. Just an overall nice place to go. I can recommend the prime rib, the steak, the wings, and the Prosecco. The salads were fresh and delicious. I don’t see anything not to like.
Even if the food were terrible, I would come here just for their Elvis on request events with Elvis Tribute Artist Rick Lenzi, whose powerful voice and uncanny mimic of Elvis mannerisms is a treat . They seem to have this event about once a month-get reservations, because it seems to be more and more crowded, each time I go…..
Food was good, the music was good as well. Our waitress was alright. She disappeared a few times but when she did come to our table she was attentive. The place wasn’t packed or anything, so not quite sure why she kept disappearing.
Wonderful experience ~ food was great our server was even better!! If that is even possible. Danny was our helpful and kind waiter ..!!! May 18th 2024 evening with Rick Lenzi ( Elvis ) awesome party!! Many thanks Adrien
