I recently stayed at the Castle Inn, which was a great experience! It's a great family run bar, with accommodation. We were made very welcome by the family and regulars, who gave us a list of places to go and see. We only managed to visit a few places on the list, so will definitely be going back to check out more in the area. The food was extremely good. You can't beat home made chips!
Steve and Karen couldn't do enough for us. Excellent breakfast, room clean and well equipped. We had rooms upstairs but there are some on the ground floor for easy access. We had two evening meals during our stay and they were good pub grub. Couldn't fault it at all.
As others have said, these are lovely hosts who make every effort to make sure you stay is as good as it can be. The food is excellent value as well. Very happy with our two nights away. There is a limited menu partly because of the times that we live in - the fish that we had on Friday night was cooked beautifully.
Lovely pub situated in a quiet village, with very friendly hosts. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great food with generous portions. Lots to choose from for breakfast with a selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, cereal, croissants or full English breakfast if preferred (eggs were beautiful!) Karen and Steve were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
A beautiful little pub! The gentleman who served us was very friendly and welcoming.
The place was also very clean, relaxing and there was a lovely little children’s play area. 10/10
