Best KPortal Reviews

Saw The Middle Inn was dog friendly, and went along sample the wears.
The Inn was very busy and had a great atmosphere, along with an inviting open fire .
Good selection of food and drinks .
Chose the crab sandwiches, which came with salsa garnish and a few ready slated crisps.
Salad was dressed nicely , crisps were nothing special , and crab sandwiches were served on conventional brown bread ( and like mass produced sandwiches- had generous filling at the front of the sandwich, but not so much at the back ). Enjoyed never the less .
Customer service was excellent , along with friendly helpful staff .
Worth a visit after a day of walking or beach combing
The pub has been rebranded to the middle inn and it's really nice. The food quality and value is fantastic and the pub is nicely decorated.
It was busy for midweek with a large table of 10+ people meeting up, the pub area was full but there are plenty of tables towards the back and a large garden area.
We had the gammon steak and haddock and chips which I would definitely have again. Were up here for a few days to see the castle and surrounding villages so will be going back for sure.
Nipped in for a quick pint, after visiting the castle. Selection of draft was limited however they had a nice bitter on. Staff were very welcoming and atmosphere was nice, we also met a lovely black lab who we made friends with.
I was recently at this pub now called the middle inn.
I had the burger and partner had the pie and mash.
Both were really nice.
The burger was up there with being super tasty.
My partners Poe was full to the brim with steak. It wasn't a proper pie as only had a lid but that's a whole other discussion. ????
Definitely going back.
I did debate going or not as some of the reviews aren't favourable, but I actually had a superb meal.
The Castle was closed up due to the weather and I was rather disappointed, having traveled from Canada to see it, so the hope was to at least have some local comfort cuisine and a pint to drown my sorrows. The northerner style fish soup and a pint of Bamburgh Amber was exactly what I needed. Cheers!
Pleasant and helpful staff, our son’s children’s sausage meal was too small and staff appreciated and encouraged this feedback. His friend had a children’s cheeseburger and rated it highly. (Our kids are too old for children’s meals but it is the only way we will pay for a desert), they liked their chocolate fudge cakes.
My husband and I had pies and they were delicious, I had spiced lentil and chickpea- the Veggie choice is quite good.
There are a few changes inside such as no special board or TV which is a shame when the family want to watch football.
Prices have gone up slightly as they had done previously!. We will return.
Just to confuse everyone this hotel has now been renamed The Middle Inn.
We had a pleasant light lunch from a varied menu. Some nice ales and everything is competitively priced.
Beer garden is nicely sheltered
Fantastic meal and beers, dog friendly. Great service from our TOP CLASS waitress called Hope. Well worth a visit ????
