Lovely pub and very welcoming staff particularly the young man who greeted us at the door and chatted to us. We really enjoyed it there and food was very good. Afternoon visit.
If you are after a pub that does good pub food, not to fussy and a traditional pub feel this is perfect

Absolutely fantastic food and the ploughman's!!!! Wow. Value for money. The owner was a fantastic cook and knew exactly how to cook my steak (blue) ???? staff were excellent. When we are back we will be visiting you again. Thank you
We had the sour dough wraps and I fully recommend them. They're really tasty and look beautiful when served. Staff were lovely too. Absolutely recommend this pub for great food and a lovely atmosphere. ????

Good range of ales, amazing staff and locals
Amazing food and great atmosphere here in this friendly traditional local pub set in the heart of beautiful Metherell.
The owner - Midge - was wonderfull talking to us about the local area and what it's like to live and work in Metherell - even giving us a small guided tour!
We would definitly reccomend visiting here - especially as they host so much live music in the evenings!
Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of great live music and events for all with a lovely local atmosphere. Excellent food, especially the Sunday roast ( I have this almost every week!). Love love love my local the Carpenters Arms and cannot recommend highly enough x
We went here for our wedding anniversary. The pub is set in a beautiful location worthy of the driver alone. Parking can be a challenge but we did have two large cars. And that's our problem. One your inside this gorgeous old pub you can't help but feel relaxed. It has a lovely atmosphere with very friendly staff. Then we come to the food. And I'm pleased to say that it was all very good indeed. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever with this fantastic pub. Very highly recommended ????
