My in-laws introduced this gorgeous pub to us when we were visiting them recently. We had our drinks in front of the fireplace and it was great on such a cold day. The people who run the pub were amazing! I really can't wait to go back there next time????????
What a wonderful welcome, such a happy landlord. Was asked if I had a reservation, which I didn't, this wasn't a problem though, there was a quick discussion with the server and a table was found for us, despite the pub being busy. I had the steak and ale pie, which was amazing ! Turned out the kitchen staff was the landlady and what a fabulous job she did. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.
Amazing selection of cider. Great range of real ales, including one brewed only for this specific pub. Local lager. Super friendly service. Great food. Stunning Sunday roast. What's not to like?? Handy for the Tarka Trail of you're cycling. Truly wonderful little pub.
Have driven past this pub numerous times without stopping. I wish we had stopped before. Food and decor were fantastic, as was the service. Will definitely stop again.
This is most definitely the best vegan pub food I have ever had. Absolutely delicious, home-cooked carrot and lentil fritters (and the chips are superb too).
The landlord and the young lady serving at the bar were really friendly and attentive and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. I wish it was my local but I am visiting a friend here so will, sadly, have to wait until my next trip to Devon to eat here again.
Stopped at The Bull and Dragon for lunch while cycling on the Tarka Trail. The pub is a short distance up the road from the old station in Meeth.
Really friendly greeting when we arrived.
Beer and food was great. They even have their own beer (Bull Best) that was excellent ????
Thank you for an enjoyable and well needed lunch.
Very nice pub, amazing food, I had a steak and ale pie, with added blue, and it was beautiful, also serves a good pint of there own bitter, and a couple of nice real ales,
The staff are mega friendly and a dog friendly pub, would highly recommend a visit if nearby
A good pub is all about the landlords that run it and in Mike and Becky's hand this place is a perfect village Inn.
Friendly and welcoming with a good choice of quality cider and ale.
We have not eaten here yet but have been told it's worthwhile.
Parking is easy and it's access to the Tarka Trail at Meeth halt is perfect.
