Great dog friendly pub with great food. Service was excellent, and the portion size was huge. I had the Hunter's Chicken, husband had the Scampi and chips, and daughter had Chicken strips and chips. We'll definitely be back.
Because of they were fully booked we couldn’t eat in that day but we enjoyed atmosphere. Next time if we go to Cornwall I want to visit and enjoy their food and talk. The lady who served us (maybe owner) was super friendly and nice :)
Great place, beautiful views, and a lovely atmosphere. Really lovely lady behind the bar, reasonable prices, and big portions .
Just a shame about the scallops. Seared on one side, arrived with tails, and quite tasteless. You could tell they were cooked okay, but if not the lemon and salt on the table, I don't think I would eat them. My husband had the mac n' cheese, and he was a big big fan of that.
Otherwise, a very good experience, would definitely come back again.
Got to try it but book ahead as its very popular. Period pub, great atmosphere. Food superb, and on the night we visited, live music. Have say we booked ahead, just as well as we found they were fully booked from 17.00 to closing, and this was off season!!

Best pub we visited. The food was gorgeous , the atmosphere was great and the service at the bar and table was also great.
Bobby, the barmaid, had a cracking sense of humour and brightened up our evening.
Table needs to be booked in advance as the pub is very popular. They also have live music on certain nights.
Been a few times and always busy. Atmosphere is really good. Lovely clean loos. Very friendly. Didn't actually eat there but the food I saw coming out looked gorgeous. Great outside decking area too. Highly recommend ????
Really good home cooked food, decent portions and a small but great choice of St. Austell beers on draught. Hicks was a lovely new surprise! Very friendly service too. Will be back hopefully someday!
