Literally the best fish and chips I've had in a long time!!! Fish was thick and delicious. The batter was amazing and crunchy. Mushy peas were good. Service was fast and very friendly. Shame we're on holiday!!! If you're in Filey ...go!!!!
So glad we stumbled upon this little gem. The nicest fish and chips i’ve ever had and the staff were extremely pleasant.
Cod was lovely and chunky with a nice lite crisp batter. The chips were to die for and we got a huge bowl of mushy peas to share ????.
To say we turned up as a party of 8 without booking (6 adults, 2 children), the service was really prompt.
Will definitely go back here when we return to Filey.
I had heard so many good things about browns, I had to try them. To be honest there was very little wrong. The place is spotless clean and the staff are excellent. My only problem with the food is a minor one, I wish they would skin the fish. Only a small point and one for you to make up your own minds. For me I will just ask them to skin my fish, it certainly wouldn't stop me going again. All in all it's very good.
After reading reviews about the Brown room ,we decided to try it .We were certainly not disappointed .The food was absolutely delicious, the fish was so white and the batter was cooked to perfection.
The staff were really nice and helpful and the place was clean . We were really satisfied with the service we received .
I would definitely recommend the Brown room .
Absolutely beautiful pice of fish (don't eat chips ) curry sauce Absolutely amazing portion size was huge and cooked perfectly kids said the chips were amazing aswell so on that note a score it 9.5 out of 10 dingo mandingos if your in filey its a must try
Once ordered, I went home to eat these. Fish was cooked to perfection, however some of the chips seemed a bit raw and cold.
Not the best, however on the bright side was served quickly and customer service was good
A proper fish and chip shop. Really crisp batter on the fish and dripping cooked chips. Add a pot of tea for two and share a syrup sponge and custard for a perfect seaside supper. Lovely service too.
Decent fish and chips takeaway/cafe. Great staff. Reasonably priced food.
