The rooms were pretty standard, clean could do with new carpets but for a one night stay pretty comfortable. The pub had a drum and bass night on for Halloween took me back to my 20s ???? quiet enjoyed the atmosphere and the locals were pretty welcoming. Thanks
Did not use the bed and breakfast.
I used the bar during a Saturday night. Great pub. Lovely live music. Friendly atmosphere.
Very friendly pub also dog friendly and great local beer
Such a friendly pub run by friendly people! We were stranded in brightlingsea on a Monday as everywhere was shut and we couldn’t find anywhere for food. The lovely owners invited us in and let us bring food from the chip shop to eat in the pub. They also took care of our dogs and bought over a dog bowl. Very friendly and cheap to buy drinks ! 100% come here for great service and a nice atmosphere - locals are also extremely friendly
Very friendly pub and B&B in the town centre and a short walk to the harbour. Good range of beers available and the rooms are very comfortable. Benefits from an on-site car park which felt safe and secure.
Me and 2 friends spent 4 nights here this week and we had a great stay. Julie is a very good host and was responsive to several special requests we had. The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. The pub is well-run with younger bar staff who were friendly and capable. It was good to see it busy and attracting a cross-generational crowd who are also friendly. Happy hour from 17:00-18:00 with pints at £3.
From what I saw, Brightlingsea is a lovely town and I hope to return again soon to explore it properly.
Disappointing, an offer of bed and breakfast should mean bed and breakfast, but this pub has decided not to do food!!! So, it is just bed in a tiny room with no wardrobe no hangers and not even a hook on the wall to hang your clothes. The bed is fine if you have a bad back and an aversion to soft comfort. And the final disappointment is the rooms are over the seating area of a packed pub with live music and no peace until after 2am. The room is inexpensive, but with a hard bed no breakfast and no chance of sleep until at least 2 am this B&B without a 'B' is not for the feint hearted.
Great B and B lovely service provided nice food friendly staff would Recommend a visit ????
