Stopped here for a drink by the river on the way home from a day in London and decided to stay for a bite to eat. Initially sat outside but it got chilly do we were immediately found a table inside. Had the Mushroom and Stilton burger with fries which was superb. Great location, fab food, great atmosphere and really great service. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. Would definitely recommend the Boathouse.
Friendly welcome, shown to our seats, fantastic menu the food was lovely filling. Staff very friendly and the feel of the place with the art and seating felt homely. I truly recommend anyone to come and eat here at least once, for the quality of service and food.
The entire valentines ???? night experience at the Boathouse was fabulous, Beautifully set tables, great ambience despite being busy. Staff very efficient and friendly. The meal itself although a set meal of three courses with little choice was perfectly executed, well presented and delicious. This was our first time at the Boathouse and I have to say it didn't disappoint and we will definitely return.

Recently had lunch here with my family. I can imagine this restaurant would be lovely in the summer. That said it was a nice location in December. The menu was not that listed on the website and was not as varied should have made this clear on website as I may not have booked. Food was OK nothing special we ordered a kids chicken goujons and chips shocked at £9.95 price. Steak did not come with sauce had to pay extra this came in at £26.50. Total bill for 6 and a child not all having starters and desserts and drinks £240 not cheap which I felt based on quality and presentation was expensive. I would compare to other restaurants as when I looked after better options and not as pricey. Service was OK but all in all I wouldn't return.
Great atmosphere and lovely food But... staff need to be more controlled. We were seated then nothing for 10 minutes then ask four time if we had ordered then nothing for 15 minutes. We ordered some nuts that took over 10 minutes to turn up. Ordered our food which was amazing. Then nothing lady took plates said would be back with desert menu 15 minutes later nothing. Ordered desert 30 minutes later nothing. All in all we were there near four hours for nuts dinner and dessert. Watch staff cross each other over and over and miss people because they had no assigned areas. Watched two bar men put on deodorant behind the bar... Watched another one bang down a drink to get the attention of the bar then order a beer and drink it as he went back in to the kitchen. Terrible. We spent a lot of money. Bad management. Lovely place could be made so much better such a shame.
Great location and nice waiting staff but clearly lacking effective management. Had booked a table well in advance for 7pm on a Saturday. We ordered cocktails, one they got very wrong by putting passoa in an espresso martini. We were told on arrival a long list of what was off the menu so we ordered from what was left. 5 minutes after ordering we were told those choices were also now unavailable. Which left one fish dish and no vegetarian option. This was 7.20pm. So we left after drinks. Really poor management. Lots of waiting staff standing around but barely any food available! We went across the road to a different place and had an amazing meal!
Thoroughly impressed. Beautiful location, wonderful decor, fabulous music, extremely welcoming and attentive staff and the food WOW. Exceptional quality for a brilliant price. I just want to keep coming back! Recommend highly
