My experience is as a customer in the pub, it my be listed as a hotel but it certainly a pub and quite a run down at the that.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming but the public rooms were tatty with sticky tables.
The food was truly awful and not particularly cheap. My burger was most certainly frozen and thin the chips came from the same freezer.
The deep fried brie was tasty but the portion size didn't warrant the £7.95 price tag
I'd be surprised if My son's rump steak was actually 8oz. We were both surprised that the cook had managed to make frozen peas chewy
Great traditional pub. Good beers & lovely home cooked food. We've never been disappointed.... also very handsome customers.
Stopped here on our way back to Scotland from a London business trip , fantastic dinner and excellent service from Andy and his team on our way back north to Scotland, steak was excellent and service first class will definitely stop off here again when looking for an overnight.|Thank you team #teamBlueCow
The food is questionable. My father described the burger as eating something that had been defrosted whilst I ate a chewy tastes steak with peas that somehow were chewy.
The accommodation was very dated and very disappointing.The smell and standard were awful to say the least. Noise from the bar was very loud and eventually when it did quiet down the visitors next door stumbled up the stairs and banged into our door then proceed to let us hear them throw up several times for about half n hour at about 12.30am. When we came down for breakfast, service was very slow just one person eventually apeared the couple we presume were our neighbours, the man then decided to start wrenching over his breakfast!!! We did at this point leave. We will not be returning.||||Sent from my Galaxy||
The Blue Cow was a 4 Star experience rather than 4 Star accomodation. Check in at the bar was quick, friendly, and simple, even at around 10pm. Our room was very basic but clean and ideal for our one night stop. The accomodation is above the pub but the noise was not excessive and last rounds were at 11pm.
A full English breakfast was included and served with a smile shortly after we were seated at 7:30am. We'll definitely stay here again next time we need a stop over in the area.
We had an overnight stay during our honeymoon. The room was cosy , with an ensuite. Lovely hot shower.
The full English breakfast was delicious .

What can I say !! Beautiful homemade food clean room great atmosphere in the bar,locals very welcoming. Would recommend 100%. I will be revisiting with my family.|You won’t be, disappointed this is a family run very welcoming place.
