It’s just a lovely pub, the red wine served up was particularly moorish. Gary was great at Front of house making everybody feel welcome and at ease. I’ll definitely be returning to sample the food..
Great traditional pub with lovely welcome. One of the last traditional pubs around. Friendly, welcoming staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great service.
The Cheers of Kent country pubs. Brilliant, warm, chatty staff. An amazing selection of pub grub. There is an attention to detail wrt the humorous decor beyond anything I’ve experienced before or since.
Food wise, the competition in Kent is too fierce to recommend the Blue Anchor.
Was recommended this pub for a Santa Claus visit for my children by my next door neighbour, his daughter owns the pub. I have to say they were incredibly accommodating, Santa was magical, the children had the best time, the food was absolutely incredible (portion sizes are very big) we had a really lovely time and will 1000% be returning.

Very spacious terrace. Nice to dine outside when the weather is nice. Highly recommend!
Had a great time at the blue Anchor the meal was fantastic and the staff were brilliant i would highly recommend it seeing as it was the first time we had been there hope to be back very soon
Super traditional pub. You couldn’t get more British than here. Staff super friendly
A friendly establishment with a great atmosphere. We sat in the garden for a drink and really enjoyed our surroundings. We will definitely be back for more and next time we will try the food.
