Some interesting items on the menu but the reality and execution just didn't deliver for the price point. Not bad, but not as good as I'd expect for the cost.
Online presence needs a major revamp, FB page essentially blank with a dead link. Google reveals a website but never been populated, full of mumbo jumbo text that is supposed to be replaced.
My experience at the Black Swan was fantastic. Not only was the food brilliant, the service was exceptional. Victoria, my server, was very attentive and ensured all my needs were met. Additionally, the food was mouth watering. I recommend the pork ( with extra crackling ). Thankyou for such a lovely experience, I definitely will be returning!
Not been here for years but under new management. No loud tinned music which allowed my wife and I to chat to each other over a drink whilst we waited for our meal. Meal was excellent for both of us, makes it worthwhile going out, not overpriced and definately a go again jobby.
Only went for a beer, but absolutely lovely boozer. Food looked great. Under new management from what I can see and hope they do well.
We were so impressed and will certainly be back for food! We only came for drinks but the care taken to serve them & the friendliness of the staff was outstanding! The chef (and maybe the owner) was so enthusiastic about the food, it was clear from the friendly staff attitude, decor and glassware that this is truly a pub that is cared about. The chef was talking us through the amazing menu and explaining how everything is made fresh. It’s very rare to see such enthusiasm and passion in pubs these days so we will certainly be back! The pub garden was so relaxing & beautiful with the flowers and fresh herbs (which the chef was picking to use in his cooking!). Parking facilities are great! Fabulous place for families too! Thank you for such a lovely atmosphere.
Drop in every couple of weeks for lunch. Always receive a very warm welcome. Very good menu with pub staples mixed with more interesting choices. All cooked fresh and very well executed. Easily the best for miles around. Good selection of lagers and ales. Taylors landlord is definitely well looked after.

My oh my! I don’t venture into the pub very often after a bad experience in there a few years ago and it was dark and dingy, the service was shocking and the whole place was falling apart. I knew the place was under new management but couldn’t bring myself to face it again. My husband finally persuaded me to try again and I’m so glad we did. This place is a hidden gem in this small, farming community. The new owner has given the shabby shack a huge refurb and it is now bright and welcoming. We had tried the food this particular day and chose a venison dish. Wow! The food is out of this world. I’m a hard person to please and I’m usually one to say what they got wrong but I could think of nothing. So tasty, well presented and filling. Everything tasted homemade and you could definitely tell that it was, even dessert was on point. You must see the transformation this small pub has been through and make sure to try the food here and I promise you will not be disappointed.
