Visited today for Sunday lunch with my daughter. The host was very welcoming and the staff were excellent. It was an extremely varied menu to suit all tastes. We had the roast beef and the salmon for mains which were both cooked to perfection, tasted delicious and were accompanied by a fantastic selection of vegetables. We both chose the duo of sponge puddings with creamy custard for dessert which were absolutely mouth watering! We would highly recommend and will certainly be back soon.
Many thanks once again to all the staff who made our Sunday lunch outing with the parents a really enjoyable experience. The Sunday lunch selection was incredible, the food was delicious and the portion sizes plentiful Washed down with a wonderful bottle of Malbec..Can't wait to visit with more family and friends real soon. Many thanks once again truly worthy of a 5 star rating.
Absolutely delicious meal. Fitted us in as a late booking when another couple hadn't turned up- their loss our gain. Wonderful flavours. Generous portions.
Went last night
Gorgeous place , beautifully decorated and the staff so friendly and and accommodating
Fab menu , reasonably priced too
I had the beetroot wellington which was gorgeous , my friend had the duck in a or as age saucev
Plenty of veg etc
Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again
Very average, dated decor, food ok, but nothing special. Staff friendly enough. Definitely overpriced as only option was a set menu, tried to justify it with side dishes of olives and chips as a standard...quite peculiar...and I haven't seen boiled potatoes served like that for a long time. Obviously suits some, but no return trip for us thanks.
This is still our go to special place. Tonight we have been for our wedding anniversary. The food was lovely, so we'll cooked. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much.
Has changed inside since I last visited. Not for the worst. Would go back frequently.
Very friendly staff. Willing to help. The food was excellent. 3 Course £30. 2 course £20. Drinks are expensive.
Disabled would manage except not sure about the toilets .
Just celebrated our 36th Wedding anniversary with superb meal at The Black Horse in Ellerker. Never dissapointed when we eat here. We had the Rib eye steak and Duck. Beautifully cooked and presented. Good value for money.
