Friendly staff, friendly locals, and the ales were excellent.
Visited on 26th May - without being too personal the lady behind the bar looked as though she was waiting to start pole dancing. We had to wait ages to get a drink and she was then extremely rude serving us as it meant she had to stop talking to her partner!
Will most definitely not be returning and I think the owners need to address this situation asap.
It's going back in time for me. I spent a lot of my youth I this pub. There is no rooms to let, only long term let's. Hasn't changed over the years.
Phoned earlier in desperate need as my husband and daughter were stranded close by in the snow. I asked if they had a room available and was told yes but they only rent them out long term. Even after I explained but they are literally stranded miles from home and with the storm due to peak overnight and temperatures expected to plummet but no, they offrered no help at all. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED
This pub has changed so much over the past few years, live music, great food and fantastic beer brewed by the Landlord so always a great pint.
