Best KPortal Reviews
Booked for a family lunch while visiting my home town ||||Absolutely first class Sunday lunch. ||We had a delicious Sunday lunch and were given a warm welcome and 2 takeaways were also supplied ||A large group of us ate a superb dinner. ||Good pub grub at a good price. ||Thank you to Nicola, Anne and staff.
Lovely owners they are friendly and welcoming.
Stayed in room 2, and it was very spacious.
Parking was easy. A 10/15 minute walk to the town.
The cost of living crisis menu on Wednesday/Thursday was great value, good options and a brilliant bacon cheese burger.
Very disappointing experience. The staff was nice but very lost - no menus or receipts available; food was really basic and they make a mistake on my pre order food - we order a vegetarian meal that came with 3 small sausages.
The place has a lot of potential but it was not a good experience.
Note for the lovely burguer in the next tables, perhaps we were just unlucky.
We booked for Sunday lunch to celebrate 3 birthdays, there were 9 of us, a 3year old and 8 adults one of the adults is autistic. We all ordered at the same time 4 dinners arrived these were luke warm, the other dinners arrived later piping hot, the 3year old's plate and food were so hot it had to be put aside to cool. The cauliflower cheese that I had ordered as an extra arrived after I had eaten over half of my dinner.||||Dinner over we ordered desserts, while we waited I took a sip of my drink, thought I had ice in my mouth but very quickly realised it was a sliver of glass, a chip from the rim of the glass had come away, I then found another sliver inside my cheek. This was reported to the waitress so when the owner came out of the kitchen I thought she had come to investigate, apparently not. When I asked her had she been told about the incident her reply was 'these things happen', no apology, I again tried to explain how dangerous this was and again she could only say 'these things happen'!||||We waited so long for our desserts our autistic adult had a melt down and had to leave, we were on the verge of asking for the bill and leaving as well when the desserts arrived. I had specifically asked for no chocolate sauce, you've guessed it, yes there was chocolate sauce.||||After the attitude of the owner over the glass we knew it was pointless complaining again so just paid up and left.||||I hope this review puts people off going to the Belle Vue as this is no less than they deserve.
The food was decent and the staff were really pleasant amd seemed to be enjoying their job. The wait for food was relatively short. I can't comment on the desserts because I didn't have one but my main course was good, as was the main courses of our friends.
visited this establishment today with our family. very poor service, standard of food very poor. having said that the Yorkshire pudding wasn’t too bad, but was cold by the time gravy got to table. very over priced, not very christmassy, chucked in the back room amongst buffet food! had to hang playboy towel up at window as sunlight was in our eyes had to wait far a long time for every course! very disappointed! not a patch on the railway which is just down the road!
Came to Belle Vue in the summer lovelly||Food and service ...||Came tonight all 4 deposits paid as asked 2 children 2 adults for the festive afternoon tea .... explained the one adult is un able to come ... so leaving just 2 children and one adult ...so they bring the food just one platter between 3 ...I ask that’s not enough sorry we payed 4 deposits ( 2 sandwiches 2 cakes 3 sausage rolls and a mince pie and brownie ) between three ? ||Well cut long story short the woman was absolute disgusting and when I asked could we still have the other plater as one platter for 3 wasn’t enough her reply not enough stock when she expected 4 as deposits were payed her attitude was absolute disgusting I will never return here agin .
Food arrived over an hour late, was stone cold.
As for the food itself, the meat was dried out, everything was very bland, like they hadn't used any salt.
The Yorkshire puddings were burnt and black on the bottom.
Overall, the food was terrible, cold and an hour late.
I will not be ordering again and would advise anyone to avoid
